Short and Kind of Easy

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 16, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a 9 hole course that works its way around a scenic pond in the middle of the park. Three of the holes are kind of fun to play: One is the first hole, which has a tricky approach shot; another is the second hole, which is a somewhat narrow dogleg with woods on the right and water on the left; and the other is the ninth hole, which starts off narrow with a creek in front of you. The other six holes each have a few scattered trees that you need to be wary of on your drives and sometimes also your approach shots.

Cons:

Most of these holes are too easy to play for most players; they're short and mostly open. All the holes have room to be longer - a few of them a lot longer - which is a missed opportunity, because that could've made them at least a little trickier and more fun to play. Some of these holes are real close to each other - so close that if you're on one of them and another person is on the next hole, you'll need to wait for that person to finish the hole they're on before you can play the one you're on. Also, this course is only 9 holes long, so it doesn't take long to play, and most of it is sometimes covered in goose poop.

Other Thoughts:

Overall, this course is a little too short and easy to play, and some areas are also kind of cramped. It's not the easiest course you'll ever play, but it's easy enough that it's not worth checking out for most players, especially since it's only 9 holes. It can be a good practice course though for beginners and novice players. I have no clue if that was the course's intention or not, but that's the best way to treat it.
