Course is still very rough. Not the easiest layout to follow and there are many downed trees still to be cleared.

The course is set among the river valley tubing hill park in the heart of the Kewaunee River Valley. Winter Park has a well-balanced offering of terrain and shot selection around the 150-foot elevation change on the hill. Work your way up and down the ski hill and stop to gaze across the beautiful Kewaunee River Valley on numerous holes. Terrain includes open, wooded, uphill, downhill, left, right, straight, long, short, creek hazard, ponds, OB, and windy conditions. Baskets are visible from all red tees, while blue tees offer more distance and require careful shot shaping and placement. Nine gold tees offer some extreme challenge, distance, and par 4 golf. Stay in the fairway because the rough can be tough. Very long grass, sharp elevation change, and thick trees and shrubbery are common off the fairway.

The course plays either as an 18 hole, or a 27 hole round. The 27 hole course is comprised of "loops" off the classic 18 hole course that involves strenuous terrain and is over 15,000' total walking distance.

Winter Park is designed for PDGA blue player ratings (SSA is approximately 74). Each hole is designed with one or two intended flights from the blue tees. Each requires some specifc skill to execute a good drive. The holes are very challenging considering the unforgivable rough off the fairway yields harsh punishment, and very risky greens require accuracy and control on your approach and putts. We recommend newbie disc golfers and those still learning control to play the red (short) tees.
