Who wears glasses...?

i only wear glasses when putting in the evening. sometimes i cant see the basket way far out there, but as long as i dont drive first im okay.

I've got what has been described and black plastic hipster glasses. I guess I'm old enough and have been wearing glasses long enough that my glasses have become hip. I haven't had any problems wearing them.

My glasses fogged like crazy. I hated wearing them in the Winter b/c I couldn't wear a scarf or anything w/o fogging them. Even though I hated glasses, I couldn't get used to having foreign objects sitting on my eyeballs, it creeped me out. Lasik rocks, best birthday gift I ever got, hands down.

Have worn glasses pretty much every round since I've started playing - never had a problem with them.

I've worn specs since I was six. A couple of years ago went to graduated bifocals, which totally suck, but now have returned to conventional bifocals. It'll probably take a few weeks to groove back in (right now my upshots are completely ridiculous) but I'm looking forward to improvement in my scores once I'm dialed in again.

The main thing I noticed with the graduated ones was that peripheral vision is totally distorted, which means that if you want to track something, you have to move your head so that you're looking directly at it all the time. Major hassle that they dno't really tell you about up front and you only recognize once you start doing things like walking around, not to mention keeping track of where you want your disc to go.

Anyway, that's my rant. Thanx for listening.
I also tried the graduated Bifocals for a short time. I needed glasses for both near & far sightedness problems. Might as well kill 2 birds with one stone right? But the distorted vision was a problem. Example: when looking around on the ground in the leaves for my lost disc it was really bad. I'd be looking down (through the lense) so the wavyness was really hard to deal with. Luckily I was able to return the bifocals for standard lenses for free. I then went to Walmart & bought a pair of reading glasses. Two sets of glasses that I have to remember to bring everywhere is a pain but I can see clearly now!

I've had glasses since the third grade. No contacts, I'm phobic about touching my eyes. I'd throw up if I had to touch my eyes or watching anyone mess with their contacts. I am now wearing bifocals haven't had any problems with seeing baskets.

Hey fellow spec-wearing peeps, got my glasses today! When I first put them on, I actually felt a little dizzy, but it seems to be wearing off now. Earlier on the course, I was absolutely shooting lights out, but I don't think it had anything to do with the glasses, lol. Although, my central vision is actually more crisp than with contacts, so I dunno, maybe.

But more than anything, I feel free from the accursed contacts! They're a fine invention and technological marvel, etc. etc., but they're just not for me (anymore). No more solution, no more stumbling around totally blind in the morning, no more itchy eyes at the end of the day, hooray! However, if my scores go south, I'm ditching the specs and getting Lasik :p

This is one major reason I hate playing golf in the late fall and winter, drives me F'ing nuts. Plus, when you want to lay down on your side and watch TV, you can't because your glasses get in the way...PRK, here I come!

Wearing specs takes a bit of getting used to at first. Used to wear contacts almost exclusively, then when I finally started wearing glasses again, they felt weird, and I noticed distortion towards the edges of the frames. As I wore glasses more, I the weirdness and distortion I felt wearing them just kind of diappeared. After a while,I was able to switch back and forth between them whenever I felt with no issue - your brain finds was to compensate and adjust, once it get used to something.

Now I don't wear contacts often at all, went from one end of the spectrum to the other.

Dorks and nerds wear glasses, no one looks better with glasses. I can't read without glasses.

I've worn my glasses ever since I took a stick to the eye last year. Although my eye doctor did give me a handful of vicodin.....hmmmm........:p

No way I play a night round without glasses. I quit worrying about looking GQ about two decades ago.

I wear my glasses when playing all the time. Without them I would loose all my discs cause they would dissapeare after about 60ft.

I've always worn glasses, No real problems with them on the course. It is a pain in the sun, but that's what baseball caps are for.

The only time i have trouble w/ my glasses is when it's muggy/humid out. When I'm going for a monster drive they will sometimes fly off my face. Solved this last summer by buying that string w/ the loops on it that you can find at walmart or walgreens. Loops go around ear pieces and then put the cord behind you neck and problem solved.

Glasses off the internet?

Never occurred to me to buy glasses off the internet until I saw a spot on Clark Howard (Cnn Money guy). You can get custom glasses, frames and lenses, for starting at about 7 bucks! I've checked out a couple sites and it seems legit, although if u upgrade to better lenses, it's gonna be more like $20-30 a pop. BUT compare that to $250+ for a pair from a brick and mortar outlet. It seems like it's worth a try.

So who has bought a pair from the net? What site did u use?
