This is one of the choices for "favorite sports" when you make an ESPN profile:

NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo................

I always want to say "Sure it's a frisbee , just stand over there and I will throw you my champ monster. Just catch it and throw it back.":wall:

Interesting attitude in a thread about getting our sport more widely recognized. I've always found that disc golf gets me blank stares while frisbee golf is pretty widely understood.

^this, and Forest understands the word "frisbee" while "disc" is foreign to him, you'll constantly hear me call it a frisbee.

I updated my ESPN profile to include DG. They wouldn't give you all those options if they didn't want the stats that go along with them. The more users that have that in their profile, the greater the chances we might see ESPN cover a DG tourney in the next generation.

True, as far as being recognized as a game/sport. Just not correct. I used to play frisbee golf every day after high school and it's totally different from disc golf. In fact, for people that are not naturals at throwing things(me), playing frisbee golf for multiple years did me no good as far as learning to throw a disc. I flicked a frisbee and it went straight. I flicked a T-bird and it wound up going left. Plus if we want it to grow, don't we want it to be called Disc Golf? There are no more frisbee golf courses around here, they all have disc catchers. Maybe you guys still have Frisbee golf courses with those concrete barrel things in higher populated states. If so, then those Frisbee golf courses still in existence would be a good way to lead people to Disc golf.

Was excited about this and registered with ESPN. Can't find an option anywhere for Disc Golf while setting up my sports options.
Is the joke on me or something?

Legitimate?
