So has anyone else noticed that Innova still hasn't even mentioned that McBeth won Worlds on their site? Most companies would be all over publicizing their team member's World championship....

yeah i noticed that too.. DD even has a banner pic of him as the champ on their site.. and hokom is on discrafts site..

That does seem weird. They added Holly Findley to their site pretty damn quickly.

Makes sense, why wouldnt they put an average golfer who also happens to be a stunning 7.5632/10 on the hotness scale on their site asap and leave PMB hangin, pfft seems reasonable...

Yeah, wtf is that about? I saw that Discraft got Hokom a banner up the night of her win. Innova still has a "Starlite roadrunner released"...like anyone gives a sh*t.

I'd be pretty miffed if I were him! I mean, not getting a sig disc for your first championship is one thing, but not even being mentioned on your sponsor's site almost a week after the fact is pretty bad...

I'm still laughing at this one. Can't even remmember what I was going to write.

They are just slow. It took them awhile before they did an article on Wiggins new record. It's coming.

I'm guessing their web team is like one guy. They are always late because they don't have infinite resources to pour into these sort of things.

What you people need to be focusing on is that a guy won the title of World Champ at our game and didn't even have a payday of $6,000.

Do you understand that?

He has devoted his entire life to improving at this game, hit the mark and achieved greatness in our sport by winning its biggest event, and was payed less than Shaq made per missed free throw in Orlando.

Innova is too busy at the moment thinking which of their popular molds they're going to discontinue and replace with an R-Pro "equivalent", or how they can pass off more Blizzard discs with no bubbles in the flight plate as normal.

So hey, they're get around to that whole World Champion thing in due time.

Is he getting a signature disc?

That usually is the plan. I just wonder if it will be something that Paul actually throws, or some new mold that they're trying to hock.

Don't get me started on that... I've been battling it out in the worlds updates thread on that subject already.

Umm yeah, that's a tragedy. :(

I'm guessing the difference between Discraft and Innova in this case is only the Innova web guy actually played in Worlds and probably had a lot to catch up with yesterday. And from a practical standpoint for sponsors, the guy who installs even one course is more important to the sport and disc manufacturers than any player who wins one title. The course developer costs them less and earns them more income. But how often do you see course developers touted on sponsor web pages when he installs a new course?
