Probably never! It will probably always stay a a tier event! They defiantly need to make it to get more too name pros out there! They are all hard and challenging courses and they all are different and have a mix variety of shot!! I would low to see if become a nt or at least make another tournament that's us a nt. is it up to a TD to change it to a nt or make a tournament for it??

Yes its up to the TD to bid for it then the PDGA has to approve it.

Des Moines has the best set up for courses! those 4 we play are top of the line when will they be making that an NT?

Never. The last time the DSM Challenge was an NT a few pros who didn't do well blasted the courses for being pitch and putt. It really erked the guys who took a full week off of work to get the courses ready.

when your putting do you pick a link or spot on the pole? How high over the rim are you aiming?
Also, do you have a favorite brand/model of basket?

Paulie,

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions.
Do you use the Avery style "power" grip for sidearms? Or the conventional two fingers stacked?

What is your biggest pet peeve during a big tourney?

Good luck this year.

Lol, I didn't hear anyone say they were pitch and putts. That's hilarious... Ewing/big creek/walnut ridge/Pickard are hardly short on distance or difficulty... I did hear comments that certain courses needed trimmed up more, or trimmed differently. But that's subjective, and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Paul, what do you factor in when you're deciding what tournaments to play? A tier/NT event/added cash/brand new car? Or is it just scheduling

What distance do you consider a "gimme" for yourself?
Another way of saying it, At what distance do you fell 110%, it's going in?

Next, how far out do you feel (for yourself) that you must make every putt?
Another way of saying it, Do you have a distance that you feel that you must be 100% accurate?

Climo has said that he feels he needs to be 100% from 25' and everything outside that is a gift.
What is your distance if you were to say the above sentence?

Paul, its awesome that you're a former baseball player. I'm a life long baseball player myself, but hung it up during college (not because of my budding DG career but because I wanted to wakeboard more haha).

I was a lefty thrower/batter and have always thrown a disc RHBH, from grade school all the way up. I think its because a RHBH is exactly the same as a left handed baseball swing. But I forehand with my left hand. Essentially I only ever get a right to left fade haha.

Have you ever experienced that or known other former baseball guys who deal with that?

Thanks dude, wreck shop in 2013

This was before you started playing. 2007 I believe.

Its a new generation.

They're still around, bashing courses and tournaments.

I aim at the pole about a inch or 2 above the center.
My favorite basket is the innova discatcher but my favorite basket to practice on is a bullseye basket

I wouldn't call it avery style but I use a power grip.

My biggest pet peeve is quiteness in the group.

Mostly a Flow but added cash and status of tournaments such as A tiers over B because our sponsors offer us better bonus at bigger events.

15 feet is a normal gimme.
25 feet and in should be in everytime.
^^^
I feel past that should be 80% till about 40 feet

I could switch hit.
:p but I do notice my left handed swing has more speed and power but my right handed swing is more contact. So I really didnt have a problem sorry I dont have a true answer for that question.

have you tried those factory store test configuration KC p&a aviars? if so which did you prefer, big bead or beadless?

I have 4 that i'm using at this time. I like that they don't have as much glide as the dx P&A so they are great for just putting

I was lucky nevin was my favorite because everyone else hated it.

Ha, that was obvious.

I do somewhat sympathise with some of the players who blew up there. I'm only average, but I've definitely had a few "AJ moments" on Nevin! Mental game is the biggest challenge for me, I've gotten better, but I did once pull a "rolling rainbow" on 4, where I dumped the contents of my bag, and they all rolled down the slope to the right, like I'd spilled a pack of gummi lifesavers. I started practicing for realz after that point, like 2 years ago, and it turns out the focused practice helps mental game more than actual game.

Congrats on a great win here. I was pulling for the local hippy hero, but was glad to see someone win who didn't think they were playing a different course than the rest of the field.

400 foot tunnel shot, low ceiling, no wind, you are going to throw a driver.

What do you throw? Dead flat, slight annie, hyzer flip? What would the disc be?

Fun read. Thank you and good luck next year. I went through some dark years playing tourney's. Bad money, bad people. It sounds like you are getting it right.
