Millennium and Hyzer Bomb partnership

That is pretty sick in those colors. im a Tennessee fan so Im loving my orange and black. Is there a reason that there is a hyzer bomb logo on the front instead of the millennium logo? There both pretty sweet logos, just wondering....

Also I have the dimensions for my internal pvc frame for whoever wants them. I just bought a ten foot (I think) section of 1/2 inch pvc pipe. and this is the joints you will need and the lengths of the cuts you will need to make:

joints

2 90 degree elbows
2 t-joints
4 90 degree joints with side entry (If its laying on the ground it will look like a 90 degree joint with another entry coming straight out the top)
2 End caps for 1/2 inch pipe

pvc pipe (1/2 inch)

4 11" pieces
2 7 3/4" pieces (Uprights)
2 6 3/4" pieces (Depth of bag)
4 1 3/4" pieces

7 3/4" pieces lead up to hold the "shelf" for the top compartment
I would assume that you can put it together by looking at the pic I posted earlier from this info. If not let me know. Its kinda like putting together leggos after you cut the pieces. Trial and error till it fits if all else fails, lol.

Last thing, By putting this frame in my bag im not voiding any warranty if something goes wrong with the bag, right? It is not attached to the bag in any way. Ijust wanted a solution to the couple problems that bothered me and many others. Will someone please let me know?

Nice solution redbone, thanks for the info man! Was thinking you could put some of the adhesive foam pipe insulation around the bars which go against the back to for more cushioning. Also wondering if you could add a divider with this setup. Good work!

That new color combo looks sick too!

Redbone, that is a good idea. However, am I the only one who thinks its ridiculous that we purchased a bag for close to 2 bills and have to have a thread on how to make the bag usable and pain tolerable?!?!?

The good news is that we since fixed this issue on the latest run with a zipper. The better news is that we will offer a sweet upgrade plan for anybody who bought the Flak3. We will have more details on that closer to release.

nice! what about the issue of the plastic sheet poking in the back? that is my primary concern....

agreed. I think redbones frame would make a cabela's/diy bag very usable...should not be necessary in a disc golf specific bag....the other issue i forgot to mention is how the back padding always flexes into a funky "s" shape while your moving....could be resolved with something rigid behind the padding possibly

Yes, this issue has also been taken care of.
Anything that our customers had feedback on, we tried to fix every single one of them.

I noticed the poking in the back when I wore a dri fit typeshirt mostly. A slight adjustment on strap length made it less to non existent. Glad to hear u guys are listening and more importantly making changes to improve rather than just pump out a bunch of bags no matter how customers feel. Good work! Any eta on when new versions will be available.

Unless that upgrade plan equals free, I'm pretty certain you're shorting your customers. :/

This entire thread is filled with people fixing your product for you. Are these just things that weren't noticed during testing? Or did you not have an opportunity to thoroughly test them?

As much as it's annoying to hear Grip talk about it being the "original tested on tour bag" they did get that part right. They weren't available to the public until they had tested and tested and tested again.

Hearing these stories makes me happy to have spent the extra money on a Grip A Series.

I couldn't agree more. I'm really interested in this upgrade option cause right now I'm having a little buyers remorse. For $200, we shouldn't have these problems. I figured these issues would have been resolved by the 3rd run, which gave me the confidence to buy. I just hope we're not going to get screwed for purchasing a product before it was perfected. From a consumer's point of view I'd be willing to pay shipping back and forth for the replacement, but if we have to pay more to replace a faulty product, I'd be pretty disappointed.

As far as getting poked in the back, I've found that to be a damned if you do damned if you don't situation.

As I mentioned before, the rainfly snaps on the back of the cup holders catch my belt, belt loops or rim of my shorts. So, I tightened up the straps to get the bag tighter to my back. When I did so, I noticed the rigid plastic poking me in the lower back. The "fix" is just hanging the bag off 1 shoulder, which defeats the purpose of the backpack style and increases wear on the selected strap.

I'm 6'1" 195lbs and don't have either the snaps bothering me or the plastic piece poking me.

The plastic part I understand, but the snaps catching? I don't even see how this happens.

I'm not sure how or why, but they do. We're about the same size, so I'm surprised you don't have this problem. But, good for you, cause its annoying as hell

I am interested in the upgrade plan and additional colors.

If Microsoft waited until Windows was "perfected" to release it...we still wouldn't have Windows. Grip came out with the A series (supposedly perfect?) WAY after their first runs of bags. The Flak is still a VERY functional bag. The guys at Hyzer Bomb are determined to make the best bag on the market. They are proving that by listening to YOU. They made the changes on the next run, and they are offering to make the changes to your bag that you already bought (even though you knew, from reading, the functionality of it).

I agree .

Just because you drank the kool-aid, doesn't mean others are going to be just as happy with a sub-standard product for their money. Does that bag function? Yes ie: it carries discs and fits on your back. But if that's all I wanted, I wouldn't have spent $200 on this bag. I could have found a functional substitute for much less. However I chose to spend my money on this bag with the expectation that it would not have to be modified or changed to function as it is advertised. I expected the issues that we've pointed out (which are completely elementary) would have been addressed prior to the release of the 3rd run.

What really gets me is this

At 45 seconds, the commentator actually says he's "pushing down as hard as he can" on the top shelf and "its staying in place." To me, that is false advertising. Obviously, that feature of the bag is not holding up as promised.

And your comparison to Windows 7 is ludicrous. When dealing with technology/software, there are going to be glitches and compatibility issues and necessary software upgrades. When dealing with a product like a bag, it either functions or it doesn't. The issues presented is this thread are basic things that absolutely would have shown up in R&D. Seriously, I wore my Flak3 for 3 holes and noticed all these issues. I can't believe that the manufacturer didn't know about any of these prior to release. Which is all the more frustrating that they released a product with known issues.

*This would be a totally different story if I had the bag for over a year and a zipper broke or one of the feet came off the bottom. But we're not talking about issues like that, we're talking about basic things here.

Well, unfortunately we can't go back in time. They've done and are doing what they can to fix the issues. And it appears that they've done a good job. I applaud Wes and Jeremy for taking a leap of faith in starting this company. Over the few years of playing and browsing this site, I've come to realize us DGers are insanely hard to please. We are never satisfied and always want something better, something that flys farther, etc. Hats off to HyzerBomb for dealing with all of crazy disc golfers.

To be fair, I have to agree and applaud them for what they're doing. I appreciate their hard work and determination to continue to improve. Starting your own business is not easy, but staying in business is even harder. Unless, you take care of your customers.

And, you're right, disc golfers can be kinda crazy. I learned that over my many years of running the local club and tournaments. But, this really isn't about disc golf or disc golfers. Its about consumerism. If you go to McDonalds and your burger and fries are cold, you're talking it back because it didn't meet your expectation and they'd replace it. I bought this bag, with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. The issues we're discussing are (in fact) manufacturer defects.

I am all about giving kudos for a job well done. But, I'm also not going to turn a blind eye when something is sub-par
