First off, I just want to say that I am super stoked about this announcement and I want to tip my hat to DD for putting these events in motion. I, for one, cannot wait for this and I'm going to try to run one of these in my hometown. It's going to have an awesome players pack with an even nicer prize going to the winner. With that said, I'd like to create a sort of "one time only" thread dedicated to the upcoming Trilogy Challenge. THE Trilogy Challenge thread. I would like for this thread to serve a multitude of purposes. A place where TD's can bounce ideas off of each other, where players can voice their enthusiasm about the event, where players can share experiences when the time comes, etc etc. Again, I am stoked. I feel like DD is really helping push disc golf in the right direction. So....who else is excited?!?!

Just sent that link to a local TD that loves DD now. See what happens.

This is tempting to me. I ran a Vibram Birdie Bash last year, and had a great time.

But I don't throw any Vibram, and love Lat64 stuff. This does not sound quite as simple to run as the Birdie Bash, though.....

We will definitely be running one in WA state, probably at the newly renovated Bakerview Park. We ran a DD two disc challenge last year, and was planning on running another, but this will definitely take it's place!

Are they USA only, or international? As import tax can really mess up thinks like ace races over here in the UK, adding 20+% to the costs. Although we are getting to do birdie bashes this year for only slightly more than in the states thanks to vibram working to sort it out.

If you do, where would it be? And what kind of age restrictions would there be? I'd like to play but I'm 14

We are still throwing around the idea amongst our league. For the last three years we have run a Discraft Ace Race in Becker, MN, the first weekend of August so we can claim that we are the first Ace Race in the state.

Since we have a good relationship with Becker, it will likely be there. However, I am not opposed to moving it to Clearwater which has a course more conducive for fun formats.

Since we have until Feb 1st before we can even register for this tournament, we still have a lot of talking to do. Regardless, it will be a fun tournament format which will have no restrictions in regards to rating, ability, or age. The one thing we will ask for is the entrance fee up front that way we know how many packages to order. We ran a Legacy Discs Ace Run last year and was a little burnt on our end because of not anticipating a huge snow melt at the end of March.

Watch for us here and on the DD tournament website because it does look like something we are likely going to run.

We have the same issue here. And actually a couple of TD's have lost money on other manufacturers similar deals because they weren't allowed to increase the entry fee.

I've asked DD already, hopefully they'll think of us foreigners :)

Totally stoked about this 2.......Hope our Local TD`s will be ready. (St. Louis Golfers Let`s take a head count). I`ll Start My Bro & I make (2). Can I get more? Totally Awesome event & players pack. Throw trilogy.......

do we know what kind of plastic the player's pack will have? i.e., test material, opto, GL, recycled? I'm assuming it's not opto, based on the photo.

Also, what about weights?

This looks like fun, hope there's one near me. I'd be pleasantly surprised if the discs aren't in proto/test type plastic.

Stoked! Just found out about this and jumped on DGCR to see if there was a thread started. Really hope there's one close enough for me to attend.
