I was wrong but this isn't totally true. They seem to rounds up to the thousand. So 500-1000 = $1 or 1500-2000 = $2, etc.

I just spent the free new account 500 pnts on a couple of these Teebirds and got a $1 off. Anyhow, can't wait for it to get to my house and try it out

I threw both my gold g* tb and gold g*ds today here in Omaha. Windy, gusts near 25mph. Glad they are both max weight, they feel amazing when it's chilly out, handle wind great, and I no longer question durability. I hit a tree with the ds off the tee with a fairly hard throw that was maybe 250ft out. Hit hard enough to hear the crack over the wind gusts, but barely a scuff on it. very happy, these will not come out of the bag...until the stock runs come out! Lol

are these really that flippy that max weight matters compared to a 170 or something?

I found my leopard to be less stable than a regular star but more glidey. TL was not so much. Seemed to throw identical to a cfr. I will say the red TL's are much flatter than the greens I got though. I think the the greens would be a little less stable with as much more dome as they have. I ordered red and blue teebirds since those are the flattest colors of the other discs I have. Hoping for a flight like an old flat top dx or a 10x KC Pro (not champion plastic). Easy to turn up and then late fading back down. I got mainly 170-173 since the other plastics I throw teebirds in are about that weight or a little lighter.

Threw my 175g Blue G* Teebird today and my "beat in" star AJ tour series Teebird 172g today. A medium headwind, for some field practice.

The 172g star aj teebird still flies like a teebird. Will not turnover with OAT or strong headwinds. Very reliable to always have a medium-hard fade at the very end of its flight. Every time. Plastic is very very stiff.

The 175g Blue G* Teebird was straight. Straight. More like what you would think of a champ TL to fly like or possibly even less stable. And this disc is brand new (not broken in at all). Very grippy which is nice, but I'm not a big fan of flexible plastic. I'm sure the flexibility in the plastic has to do with it not being very stable. I did turn it over easily with some off axis torque too...

For what it's worth the plastic feels great, it will fetch a high resell value. But if production runs remain at 17.99, pshhh forget about it. I won't be bagging this disc either way unless they can keep the grip but firm up the plastic. :\
