What a train wreck. No TD on site? Follow the rule book....

There has to have been a course director on site. Every course is supposed to have a person who is effectively the TD for that course for that round/day. I don't doubt there was such a person at Deer Lakes during the women's round (in addition to the PDGA marshal), so I don't think it's wise to perpetuate the idea that there was no TD on site. J Gary Dropcho may not have been there, but somebody from the event staff was.

From WillGrrr's description, I guess the criticism about soliciting player opinions on how to proceed is unwarranted. However, I still don't understand the need to delay the start by even a minute, which gave those players an opportunity to say anything at all, solicited or not. There's no reason (rules-wise) to inform any player of anything to do with Sarah's situation. And if there was, why only the top four cards? What about the others who by another eyewitness account were left standing around on their tees wondering what the delay was all about?

Really unfortunate situation all around, but not handled well by the event/PDGA staff at all.

With 4 courses being played, and 2 TDs, its impossible to have a TD on site for all the rounds

PDGA Official on site as Marshall would fulfill the requirements and meet the rules. And it appears that he did just that, fulfill the requirement and make the correct call.

Coverage has been EXCELLENT. You can call Crazy crazy all you like, but the guy has flair, and passion. Simply would not be the same nor fit the mold for our sport to have a monotoned shrill pecking golf talk like he's at a funeral. ESTV has done an incredible job giving us great free coverage all week.

The coverage has been good, I don't mind Crazy at all. I just wish they would have shown the MPO semi finals instead of the FPO. The quality of DG just isnt the same.

Four of the best women in the world starting the round within 4 or four of the best men in the world where the leader is up by 8 on second place. The women's round seems like it would be a lot more compelling and dramatic.

They've also said that they'll jump over to the MPO card at some point, especially if things start to get close.

The FPO is a lot closer for sure, but I just want to watch ultra high quality DG. I can watch sub 1000 DG on my local course. I can't watch these 1030+ monsters

Definitely would rather have the MPO Semifinal instead of the FPO broadcast right now. I get why they're doing it, but it's not what their announced schedule was and I would Not have gotten up with 3 hours of sleep to watch the FPO semi-finals. MPO is better coverage almost every time at this level of play, no offense ladies. I sure hope they switch it eventually.

This is it for me. I'd be happy to watch it live if it were at a different time than MPO, or watch it archived or the CCDG/Marty coverage. But give me competitive 980 golf versus competitive 1080 golf to watch I am choosing the same everytime.

Just realized that the FPO group started on hole 1 and the MPO leaders started on hole 6. Kudos to the event staff for breaking with tradition and making the MPO leaders walk for once.

Maybe Im just salty because I got only 3 hours of sleep to get up and watch this, and I wouldve just gotten an extra hour or two and caught up if I knew they were deciding to do this.

A no brainer to someone bias and butthurt. Sorry Will dropped out of contention. I wouldn't want shoemaker to win, but even if he was up by alot I'd prefer mpo. I just like seeing the best play.

Look at the big picture.

The big picture still gives you next day FPO coverage, but more live viewers today if MPO was playing.
It's the same idea that a regular NBA game and a WNBA Championship game were on more would watch the NBA game. No offense to the ladies. I would watch their round as soon as I could, but almost never instead of the MPO, and certainly not during Worlds. Final day on the biggest showcase day in our entire sport
