2015 Memorial Championship- NT

This was the first time I watched a disc golf event  (normally I can't stand to watch) and I have to say that it was extremely entertaining. I switched back and forth from the smashboxx broadcast and Prodigy broadcast on the YewToobz, as I didn't watch live.

good stuff

Yes, the live coverage was very well done. I watched semi-live, paused the feed before going out for the evening, and then watched the last three holes later. I made sure not to check the outcome beforehand, so it was pretty darn exciting watching the finish "live" a few hours later.

I know it was mentioned earlier, but I just want to reiterate. Koling's mental game and professionalism has increased a lot. After that second spit out, he went on to birdie at least two consecutive holes. He got spirited a couple times, but no banging his head and letting it get to him on later holes. He also was cheering for his card mates and gave props to Mcbeth when he tied him with that big putt. He's not as calm and collected as Mcbeth, but certainly leaps and bounds better than he used to be. Good for him.
Easy to appear professional when you are playing good. :\

I had to do the same thing. Paused the action just before the playoff. Came back from an errand and caught the finish to a great event.

I knew Koling had won but didn't see the video until today. That was great golf drama and coverage McFly, thanks so much! Also thanks to Prodigy for the link. Plus I got to see DG on Sportscenter today.

I kept mistaking Anthony Barela for Paul McBeth.

I was at work Saturday during the time frame of the Smashboxx coverage aired. I sequestered my self from all DG media until after work at 5pm. That meant NO YouTube, NO PDGA live scoring, defiantly not DGCR, I would be too tempted to look at this thread. I still did not want to know the outcome until I watched the full "re-broadcast" for my self.

I watched the first 1:55:00, went to dinner and was up till 12:30 am to finish watching my live/surprise coverage.

This was an EPIC finish to a sweet four days of Disc Golf! I have enjoyed the overload of coverage available to consume mass quantity's of the video of the disc.

Congrats to Big Jerm , to McBeast  and to Simon  for quite a show!

I knew when Simon ran that first putt toward the water on #1 and went OB...he was going to have a day. I was good and bad to see him play so aggressively, he put on quite a show trying to crush the course. The crowd must have watched him on the Smashboxx wrap up so they were being LOUD and LIVELY when the guys were rocking the course!

I was so excited after watching that I had trouble going to sleep!

Last note, when I was viewing my replay there had been over 15K views at that point, a final congrats, a final :hfive:, and a final round of , to EVERYONE making this happen at Smashboxx TV!

They may not have titles like "Prodigy Protege" but I'm sure over the last few years Anthony Barela has played a bunch of rounds with Paul before the Memorial starts. Who better to imitate than a world champ.

Innova actualy does, and Barela is his "protege"/junior shadow.

Looks like Paul selected the entire junior team. My bad.

If a NT ever comes to town, or you have a chance to attend one- go to there. Phenomenal experience... and I applaud all those involved. On to the round: Paul wasn't without his bad breaks: (bagthiefingbastards) but he also didn't look near his best, especially from within the circle, and Big Jerm did have some missed shots, but for the most part Jeremy looked to be relaxed, having fun and focused. The gallery was a cloak. A.B. is the future... but I knew that already.

It was closer to 40 or 50 feet. Trust me, I watched it live. Trying to find my head in that shot. I think the camera must have been right in front of me. McBeth's putt was closer to 30 feet but I would guess he was 35 feet out.

Announcer said 60... this is how I react to making a 30'
maybe someone else gets it

I get. Oh I get. The guy I play with most does this after making a circle's edge putt during warmup even!

Exactly. McBeth was a little testy on the mcfly fiesta coverage. When Nikko talks to himself we call him crazy...
I did feel that coming from him. Or see that coming from him when I was near him in the gallery. He was as happy as anyone not named Jeremy Koling.
