[Putters] RDG Stego: 3, 0, +1, 4

I got a great compliment today after throwing a Stego.

The hole is a 205' technical shot. Basket is tucked in the corner, just feet from the creek behind and to the right. There's a lagoon about 15' from the basket that the creek feeds into, and it's so easy to lose a disc (forever) into that lagoon. In fact, my avatar disc has been sent to the depths of that lagoon, and I had to strip to my skivvies and squish my toes into the remains of the bodies buried in that lagoon to retrieve it.

Nearly every weekend I play, there are novice players lamenting and staring into the lagoon.

Anyways, there's a huge tree between the tee and basket and lots of smaller ones to the right. Gotta go left or gamble a real tight gap on the right (a show-off move only). The line to a C1 putt requires either a FH flex or wide BH anny through a different gap.

I park the Stego and some teens say "****, do you always throw it that good?"

Amber Stego is laughably OS, has a phenomenal stamp, and is a great addition to the bag for insane line shaping. It could easily share space in a bag with faster OS putters like Zones/Toros/A-series but also slower discs like Rhynos/Bergs.

I bag an A2 alongside it and they complement really well. It's not perfect for everything but very good at what it does.

Josh had a phenomenal idea to run Nylon Stego...

Now it is all that I can think about.

Flat, high rebound and absolutely amazing.

I am pushing to make these our new run.

In the silky plastic the the chameleons are in!? That would be pretty sexy.

I kicked my Amber Stego out of the bag late last season. I've been throwing one of those super rubber gummy type black tarpit Stegos instead. I call it my Raiders Stego since it's silver on black.

Well, it's become just a hair less stable than I need. It's more about the rate change of stability--from month to month and throw to throw the change seems noticeable. (I think?)

So the Amber is going back in. I prefer the absorby-type ground game of Raider Stego, but I need that implacable overstability of the Amber.

It's funny you should say that, because I have two Stegos in my car that take turns in the bag. On the hilly crazy courses I often play the tarpit gets thrown and flatter courses where I need some skip the Amber one is going in a lot.

I don't really see the change that quickly, but they do get looking rough eventually.

aaaannnnnddd too slow to change size. I am so good at internets today

Dude I love looking at nature like that. Keep sending the hugeness. The mobile browser people will just have to deal.

At first I thought that was a rooster partially obscured by his stego, but now I think it's a doggie with a red harness.

This is the exact reason I carry two Stegos/Baobabs. The tarpit gets used like a fresh, but particularly overstable, version of a insert OS approach disc and the amber one does the actual Stego Silly Shot Specialty tosses

That's the buddies pup Gonzo. German Wire-hair pointer. Good adventure dog. My doggos either overheat on long disc days or aren't patient enough. Gonzo fits right between.

Exciting Stego news!!

We are running some extremely flexy premium plastic Stego in the next week or so.

This plastic is the same as the new AGL Boreal plastic (fantastic, gummy stuff)

These bad boys will be HOT

I'm so excited, flexy Stegos are awesome.

Love my tar pits and my RFF tarpit. Excited to see where the flex level is with these

Can we get a hint when we'll see these hit the store? I've been resisting picking up a TarPit in the meantime since I want a premium plastic one :D

:why not both gif:

I am also patiently waiting. I cannot decide if I hoping for softer feel but still premium/stiff kind of ground play or if I want uber soft premium replacement for my RFF tarpit.

Over the weekend I played a mountain course (Sundance Ranch) that is traditionally the course I will throw the most stego teeshots on. I used to throw a zone or buzzz OS on short grenades, but the stego just flys like that right side up and is more fun.
I bagged 2 stegos for the first time with legitimate plans to use them both not just backup/funsies/practice. I went fresh-ish fossil and my normal rff tar pit. They did their jobs. Its fun to play for the intentional stego hop. Its also fun to smash fresh-ish fossil against a bunch of rocks and trees.
