Brodie Smith PDGA #128378

I'm all for emotion. As long as it's not a distraction to others. One of the things I really like about watching disc golf is that the players seem to really like each other and are happy for one another when they do well. You don't see that sort of interaction a lot of that in other sports.

Have you seen Paige and Cat play together recently?

There's a pitch and putt here, longest hole is around 280', anything close to 200' is a course par 4. I'll never forget the day I was focusing on my putt and a loud and enthusiastic voice yells out "Eagle!" as somebody took a 2 on a 220' par 4.

Come play Madeline Bertrand sometime. Almost the same thing there. It's an old Steady Ed course and is a ton of fun but it sure is easy. Course par is 60 and I see these bros who think they are ready for the PDGA tour when they score -6. Its almost cruel to break the news that a 54 there is like barely a 850 rating...

There's a 190' hole that's got some tight gaps that I toss my Challenger on and I parked it one day. Heard one of the bros on the card ahead of me waiting at the next tee exclaim, "OMG HE THREW A PUTTER UP HERE." That gave me quite the chuckle...

No, that's just how the super fan boys take any comment that doesn't totally agree with theirs.

64 pages late to the party. I think Brodie is a great addition to the sport. Anyone who gets positive attention is an asset. I remember 8-9 years ago thinking Cubby hurt the sport because of his videos making disc golf look easy and not legit. Yep, THEE Carl Cubbage, one of the greatest ambassadors to our sport. People will come around to Brodie, or he will fade away.

Whatever else people have to say about Brodie, he is definitely a smart man. Get the wife to love the game too and it will save you a lot of headaches about how much you play...:D

The drive uphill on #2 and birdie putt from outside the circle was pro-level discin'. The video doesn't really show the incline and that corner is the windiest part of the course. His drive on Dash's #18 might be circumspect distance but #2 is a hole I've never birdied.

I wouldn't take my wife there, however. BB is probably the most sketchy course in DFW (although Mountain Creek comes close) - needles left on the ground near teepads and benches, homeless dudes living by the creek and lots of dealing going on in the area.
