this is what happens when trees are too close to the teepad!
the guys started calling me "woody" after that. :)
that disc left my hand and went straight for that tree like it was on a mission!
nice TACO !!!!

look at how butchered this tree is from discs drilling it. and thats down the fairway!not from the tee where you would expect! the basket is right behind in the next group of trees

some shots from our trip to houston.
this is a private course north of houston (actually north of conroe).
owned by steve dufrane. he calls it shawshank and a lot of the holes are "themed" from the movie.
the one looking out through the pines is "tunnelling free from jail (the previous hole).
the one looking back from the pin is the "green mile".
the one looking back over the water we dubbed "the congugal visit", (because you end up wet in the end). the tee was 286' back across the water, and directly behind the pin the dam dropped off 20' at least. fun,fun day of golf. and steve is one helluva host. anyone near to this course should call steve and play his links!!

Obviously that looks/sounds like a sweet course but I'd like to complement you on the wonderful photos Dahig. I love the shot from atop the basket.

for those of you who have yet to play milo/mcgiver in estacada,or.
here are just a few of the reasons that it is rated so high with so many people.
it is a beautiful park that is well maintained.
we made a trip out there last march, and out of all the courses we got to hit, this was the one that i would make the effort to to return to.

wish i had more/better pictures.
you guys know how it is, it's one thing to look at the pics, quite another to be there!!

What did you use for that long straight shot through the trees?

Dahig, Milo McIver looks like gorgeous, like a Jurassic Jungle. Ive gotta add that one to my list.

Heres one from West Guth Park, Corpus Christi, TX

Milo is truely amazing! Of the 50+ courses I have played, this one is the only 5. I just haven't rated it cause I am waiting till the Beaver State Fling so I can writed something new that everyone else hasn't yet on their reviews.

From a couple years ago. I just had to take some photos with all the ice.

What did you use for that long straight shot through the trees?

an "element" from gateway.
i've used/tried several types of mid-ranges, i have got to say that the element delivers the longest, straightest, most predictable flight path i have ever gotten from a disc.
and no, i'm not sponsered by gateway.
the closest disc i have found to the element is discrafts "buzz".
i was so impressed with this disc,i bought 3 more for spares down the road.

p.s.
i clanged my shot off the side of that basket, held my breath on what looked like an ace. that hole was right at 200' if my memory serves me correctly.

This is the tighest hole at my home course. I have had the most success with a LS Polaris:

I took this today with my phone at a course that is only a few miles from the coast. These chains look ancient. I love it.

I took this picture of my daughter after she made a putt and the disc rested on the side of the basket. She thought it was very cool.

803.13 Holing Out
B. Disc Entrapment Devices: In order to hole out, the thrower must release the disc and it must come to rest supported by the chains or within one of the entrapment sections. This includes a disc wedged into or hanging from the lower entrapment section but excludes a disc resting on top of, or hanging outside of, the upper entrapment section. The disc must also remain within the chains or entrapment sections until removed.
