Good DG Shoes

get a pair of salomons through zappos, pick out the pair you want for life and buy em. wear em out send em back and get new ones over and over....just got my 5th pair today. every 4 months i send em back and get new ones for free.....

teepads destroy all of them!

He speaks the truth. If you use your legs in your throw (which you should, necessary to throw far), then the teepads will destroy anything except for skate shoes, but they suck on grass and usually run wide.

I am so tired of going through shoes at this rate. I can't afford it!!!! Sierratradingpost.com has some of the best deals on shoes that I've seen. I don't know their return policy though.

Merrells work pretty well. The pair of midtops I got on sale at Cabellas last years for $30 was the best deal ever.

I used my casual shoes for a round recently and that was a mistake. I went on a trip and only brought one pair of shoes and thought they would be OK to play in. I wear some Teva brand hikers as my casual shoes. I got them for $30 on a clearance rack and thought they looked rugged. I was wrong. The soles were splitting everywhere (on both shoes) after only 8 holes. I had to shoe goo the heck out of them when I got home.

I am currently wearing through some Adidas Kanadia Trail shoes that I also got on a clearance rack for $14. So far they are holding up better than any of the other pairs I have played in.

I like the Zappos idea for lifetime shoes!

IMO it's not worth buying expensive shoes for DG. I just buy cheapies. When I find a pair that I really like I buy a few extra pairs. I do however have a pair with lug soles for natural tee pad courses. I wear these when the ground is soft (Spring and sometimes fall.)

Shoes with high sidewalls and good lateral support like tennis shoes (actual shoes made to play tennis in) or certain skate shoes are good. I'm using some Adidas skate-style shoes with high sidewalls at the moment. I've thrashed a couple pairs of Etnies and would not recommend them. Running shoes are probably the worst though.

I have 2 pairs of Merrills and a pair of Salomons(slightly too large for me) When ever I see a pair on clearance I can not help myself. I paid a total of $25.00 for all 3 pairs (the Salomons were given to me by my father in law's boyfriend)

I wear my Vans. No excessive wear so far. Only down fall is the thin soles, so rocky paths can be a pain (literally).
