Houston, we have a problem...

Yea, I guess the Sling Shot is going into the "Garage Sale" pile, and the baseball is going back in my bag. I also carry a few golf balls as back up.

I don't use slingshots or anything cause I don't have the skills, but if you do, go for it.

here are some good ideas i've heard/used:

full nalgene bottle
lacrosse ball (either on its own, or drilled through with a light gauge rope tied - useful for getting the ball itself back, and or throwing the line over the offending branch and shaking it)
golf ball retriever

has anyone ever been dumb enough to throw another disc at a stuck disc and get that one stuck as well. I have.....LMAO

Thats the reason for the baseball. Speaking of which, I found one at Walmat that is the same size as a baseball, but much softer. I like that , so it it hits someone by mistake, it will not knock them out. The ball is pink , but I can live with that.

Yeah brother, we know you had a choice of many colors, but you went for the pink one. LOL ;) What kind of ball is it?

Keep it around, you never know when you may need it.

Kids TPing your house, sling shot their butts with some paint balls.

Possum or other varment in your back yard, target practice.

Remote control won't work...turns the TV on.

I'm going to come up with a telescopic pole.

It will be collapsable to about 2 feet and expandable to maybe 10-15 feet. Above that you will have to climb a tree until you are 10-15 feet below it.

Green solution... I use my slingshot and I carry individually wrapped jaw breakers in my bag. That way I don't leave marbles, golf balls and other junk on the courses.

Man this makes me hungry!

I keep a lacrosse ball in my bag after I found it out on a course one day.

For those who like to throw golf ball into the trees, look at this:

It's only $30 http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ARR225-7.html
I don't think the mommies in the park will like it.

Anybody have any new ideas on this? I was thinking of the slingshot idea but don't want to leave anything behind forever if I can't find it. I like the jaw breaker idea.

I'm going to try to make some small balls out of a wooden bead with hemp twine wrapped around it. If it works, I might even go so far as to dye them so they are easier to see. I'm going to have to experiment, but figure adding a little water to it should give it the weight it needs to knock a disc out of the tree.

Any thoughts?

I really like that idea. I am going to try that.

yes... yes I have. I believe I've had three stuck at one time, and ended up running to the next hole to grab hedgeballs from a tree to throw at them instead of getting anymore stuck. We ended up shotputting the hedgeballs up to the discs :p
