Slightly annoyed with Marshall Street right now

First of all I want to say that Marshall Street is the best disc store out there and I have and will continue to place all my online orders through them.

BUT...my recent experience has my slightly annoyed.
So I ordered 10 discs, a towel and a couple of stickers last Friday after they closed. I'm am playing a tournament on the 19th and wanted to get my discs before the 12th because I was going to play the course a week early to get ready. So I thought ya week should be good since everytime I've ordered from Marshall Street....its come in 2 or 3 days, which is awesome. So here I am almost a week later wondering where my package is. So I called them up and asked whats going on. Well it's seems they didnt ship it out till YESTERDAY the 9th. WTF? They said they were busy and that UPS doesn't always come to the store because they don't always have stuff for them to ship. I am a manager at UPS and I know that if you have an account with them, they stop at your place everyday even if you don't have anything. And if you don't have an account with them, then it's your fault for not calling them to have someone to pick it up. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt but what the hell. So now i'm not getting my discs for this weekend and im a little pissed.

Again, Marshall Street is still the shiznit and I still recommend them to anyone but I mean cmon! Hoey....Marshall Street guys....what's the deal?

ive always had good things to say about marshall street kind of suprising they have always gone above and beyond for me i like how they will call you before shipping if you ask

Well that sucks.. I had a less than stellar dealing with them in the past.. but I seem to be in the minority as far as that goes. Oh well.. Live and learn!

Ya it's in Buffalo. It'll be here Monday or Teusday hopefully. At least it will be here in time for the tourny but I wanted to test the discs for the warmup on the course.

Yup. Theres one in East Lansing. They have a decent selection sometimes.

They like to only order new discs when they are down to nothing.

That sucks, I've been down here since '99. I used to buy all of my plastic from the Ann Arbor store. Guess they've gone down hill. There's a Sun King store down here in Sarasota that has a good selection. I went up there to get a Crystal Challenger and a Buzzz SS and he had both in stock!

so, if you ordered on Friday after closing, you effectively ordered on Monday, since UPS doesn't ship sat or sunday. MSt shipped on Wednesday.... 2 days later. that's not really so bad, man... you should have requested shipping via USPS if you needed it by a certain date, or paid more for expedited shipping... hell, if you work for UPS, don't you have an account you can use?

Inflight has/had a store in downtown Ann Arbor. I think they may have had one in K-zoo also.

I'm not that mad about it but they had Saturday and Sunday to process the order and didnt get it out till Wednesday. I figured a 10 disc order could fit in those priority boxes but I guess not.

As for an account, mine wouldn't do anything. It's their account they're shipping from.

UPS doesnt come out everyday, even if you have an account. at least out here they dont. I live 45 min away and can vouch for that. they have USPS pickup at least twice a day

i've never had a problem with MS but i always ship USPS to my P O box,,takes2 or 3 days
