New World Record- Most Holes Played in 24 hours!

I stumbled across Donovan's record on AceRunner.com about a month ago and somehow ended up at the forums here while looking for more info. I had been to the site before but I didn't even know there was forums. Since then I've been reading a lot here and posting some too. I think that counts...

Why do pros choose hyzers on open holes?

I read this thread yesterday and it made a lot of sense to me. I played a round today and on one hole that's about 250 and open I always throw a mid-range with just a slight hyzer. After throwing that for my tee shot I tried throwing a big hyzer with a driver and I almost aced it! The disc hit...

Ask John Houck about Course Design & Development

Hi John. Just read through this thread and gained some awesome insight on how courses are designed. Thank you so much for taking the time to share everything with us! I enjoy having a tough front nine and an easier back nine so even if I start off bad I still stay focused because I know I...

    poison ivy

I just got poison ivy for the first time in my life on my legs. I also got stung by 2 bees at the same time before my friend noticed his disc wasn't even in the rough :/ I've been using cortisone cream and it does a good job of stopping the itch.

Is a forehand worth the trouble for me? (LHBH - RHFH)

Are you the same as me? (LHBH - RHFH). I seem to have about 1-2 shots per round that a forehand would be significantly easier so it would definetly be useful. Currently there's no way I would throw a forehand if I have any sort of backhand line though. Also, I have an r-pro rhyno, I'll have...

Is a forehand worth the trouble for me? (LHBH - RHFH)

I can't throw LHFH, I throw a baseball right handed so throwing LHFH is like throwing a baseball with my opposite hand for me, it's not gonna work. I would have a better chance of learning a RHBH but thats pretty awkward for me too. Yea that's kinda what I was thinking. I've tried to learn...

Is a forehand worth the trouble for me? (LHBH - RHFH)

I throw an LHBH right now. The problem is that I throw forehand with my right hand, so I get the same left-to-right motion either way. I know a lot of people like to have a forehand shot in their repertoire so they can curve the disc both ways but for me this isn't possible. Is the time spent...

    Trends in Disc Golf

I have no problem with the thumbers, but when that's the only shot someone throws if they're farther than 50 feet from the basket it's pretty lame.

Mention of Disc Golf in Parade Magazine

I always try to get my non-DG friends to go disc golfing with me and they say it sounds boring. One day i proposed geocaching though and they all got hooked. For a few weeks we would always go geocaching, with a group of like 5 of us. Yet somehow they won't try disc golf? Like Naldoxcore...

Who you taking for the 2010 worlds?

I think they had an error, they've since updated everyone on the lead cards to 3's for that hole. But with the 17th and 18th producing 16 birdies out of 16 players, I think it's safe to say they should probably make the holes a little more challenging if they want to keep par at 4.

Who you taking for the 2010 worlds?

And he does it! 44 and 45. I'm guessing this one will be rated about 1075-ish. This is crazy close, 5 players within 2 shots of the lead!

Who you taking for the 2010 worlds?

This is the same course Anthon shot a 44 on. If he can finish with 2 birdies he'll have a 45 today. EDIT: He birdied his 17th hole, so one birdie for a 45 now.

    Pro worlds this week

I believe this is how it works, if someone knows differently please correct me. They split the open division into 2 groups, A and B based on total scores so far. The A group with the leaders will tee off in a shotgun format at 8am on the red course, and then 1:30pm on the blue. Group B will...
