Got my second ace and it happened to be a tourney ace. Alternate hole B at Woodlands Park during the Michigan Ohio Border Shootout on Sunday 8/4/13. Wouldn't you know that I can't actually count this one on DGCR either as it isn't a real hole on that course. My first ace I couldn't log either...
You know something that was even more distracting? Your sponsor bumping tunes and yelling across the course while I was trying to take my putt on Sunday.
Wow that's interesting. The guy in question, claiming to be a certified official isn't on the list. Maybe they just haven't updated the list since he was certified but it's just looking more and more like he's about as phony as his wifes upshot.
The reason why I used the term appointed was becasue of section 1.11 (D) out of the competiontion manual:
Non-playing certified officials appointed by the Tournament Director may actively make rulings during any tournament play that they witness. If an appointed official competes in the...
I was at a tier A event this weekend and was on the top card for my division in the last round of 4 for the weekend and hadn't gotten a chance to play with 2 of the players on the card. Was doing okay for the first couple holes and then just started to fall apart. I was getting into situations...

Something Different
Great variety to the holes. Lots of different shot opportunities. Long holes as well as some short holes. Three different tee sets to play from adding even more variety. Park is well kept with bathrooms on site. Scorecards on site with a nice sign with a huge map. The...
The baskets may not have been vandalized but people trying to clean all the junk bamboo and spare tires laying around. Honestly I hate being the guy to tell you to give up on this pipe dream but at some point you just have to realize that not all places are supposed to have a disc golf course.
Look into doing some physical therapy to try to strengthen my back, which I broke 9 years ago and has continued to be a pain ever since. Typically I miss about 6 weeks in the spring just as the weather breaks due to throwing my back out.
Probably depends on the difference between teepad to teepad distance and basket to basket distance. If the baskets are only 50 feet apart and the teepads are 200 feet apart I'd probably shoot from the short pads to the long baskets.
There are a lot of things that most can agree upon in course reviews such as bad drainage, too many competing non discgolf activities, bathrooms or lack of the need for them, confusing layouts, decent teepad signs, etc... The part that is confusing is how much those things are worth in a rating...
You can tool one if you have a roc mini to use as the example. I use an aluminum mini that was tooled from a discraft mini that a friend of mine made that I met at a tournament. I'm not sure what a "roc" mini is but I think I was given one at the last tourney I went to.
I think public perception is that it is a game on the same level as bocce, darts, horseshoes, jarts, corn hole or any other type of yard game people do for fun. So you take the public perception of something that is generally perceived as something you do to pass time and then spin off the fact...
There's lots of places to do this already at the same park as our local course. Large areas of open grass are typically a hot commodity around here and get used for soccer, flag football, and other popular sports with kids. Jockeying for position with these parents has become a real hassle...
