DGPT: 2020 MVP Open at Maple Hill Sept 11-13

Speaking of that double bogey on hole 8, I have a provisional rules question. Before McBeth threw his provisional, he appealed to the TD who made the ruling that he was OB in water and had to throw from the drop zone. Is that legitimate that Paul decided to protest the ruling of the TD and throw...

    Moving to Appleton, Wisconsin

Everyone covered the courses pretty well. I don't believe any of the courses in the Appleton area are technically open past sunset. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The Ridge might have glow rounds? I'm originally from Appleton, but mostly visit now over the holidays. Rollin Ridge and...

    Disc golf workouts?

A few folks have already mentioned yoga. I would highly recommend attending one or two yoga classes a week. My drives really improved when I was doing yoga last year, likely from the increased flexibility and core strength. I've had other commitments so far this year and have not been to a...

Is putting too easy? too hard? Just right?

This would emulate ball golf too much in player development. The best equipment would only be available to kids coming from families willing to buy a pro-sized practice basket. The rest would be stuck at the park playing on normal sized baskets (one could argue that this would actually be an...

Destination cities for quality AND quantity?

You know that your "useless posts" take up just as much space as mine, right? But that's fine, because isn't the internet primarily used for wasting time? I know that's why I come to a website discussing disc golf courses. Other people, myself included, often dream about a week-long disc golf...

Destination cities for quality AND quantity?

Reno seems like it would make for a fun road trip with all the courses surrounding Lake Tahoe. Lots of Forest Service land makes for free camping. Just find a trailhead parking lot or scenic overlook and park the camper for the night. People who have been there could better comment on the...

    2014 Worlds Videos

In the CCDG Milo walkthrough video it was mentioned that there was construction going on near that hole. On a fish hatchery, maybe?

Help for a trip to Wisconsin!?

I was going to mention High Cliff State east of Appleton for Rollin Ridge, but if there's camping on site that's even better. That will put you nearby Winter Park (a former ten 10) and Silver Creek. There are quite a few more decent courses in the area if you want more. And if you're still...

Disc Golf Courses on Government Land

He was most likely just mentioning a few environmental concerns. The concerns I see from a soils prospective are: Compaction (obvious), Trampling of native vegetation, Erosion on bare slopes (water and wind), Establishment of weeds, most likely cheatgrass, and Inability for re-establishment of...

    Big Hyzer Bag- Ergo

So only 50 are going to be available on release day? Customers usually will pre-order to ensure they receive a product on release day. Big Hyzer is a very small, start-up company, so I can understand a delay. But if only 50 are available at release those outside the top 50 are looking at up...

Disc Golf Coverage REinvented - FLYBOY video

Does this technology have the potential for live broadcasts or the ability to zoom in? Although very cool, the Perkerson video still had a problem following the entire flight of the disc. And yes, I know it was raw, unedited footage and that a second camera would greatly alleviate this issue.

    Best disc golf college

Don't forget Big Eau Pleine. I made sure to get up there once every Spring and Fall while I was at Point. There's also two or three practice baskets around the dorms.
