List your top 5 favorite courses

My Top 5

1. Highbridge Hills High Bridge WI

1a. The Bear (I predict this will be the top rated course on this site once more people play this amazing layout. This fall was the first time this course was in decent playable condition, and conditions should only improve from here on out)

1b. Highbridge Gold

1c. Granite Ridge

1d. Blueberry Hill

2. The Tailings Iron River MI

3. Big Eau Pleine Mosinee WI

4. Tower Ridge Eau Claire WI

5. Sandy Point Lac De Flambeau WI

Honorable Mentions:

Wild Apple Disc Golf Osseo WI

Axldog Acres Boyceville WI

Although The Tailings is the closest course to me@ a 30 minute drive, I can get to Highbridge Hills in 90 minutes. So I like to call Highbridge my home course; and I try to get there weekly.

TheTailings is a strong and challenging course. However, limited mowing makes it almost unplayable, and very unenjoyable, during most of the summer.

My honorable mentions are both private pay to play courses owned by 2 great guys and new friends of mine.

As for Highbridge Hills, well, my plan is to aquire some land and retire there in the near future.

I haven't played many, but of the ones I have played:

Flip City
Beauty/Beast/Goliath/Leviathan
Toboggan
Branstrom
Whitehall

Whoops that's 8

1. Flip City, MI
2. Rapid Run Temp course Cincy, Ohio
3. Lincoln Ridge, Ky
4. Armco Blue in Ashland, Ky
5. Mt. Airy, Cincy, Ohio

That's right... I have a temp course in my top 5.

Edit..... played Holler in the Hills and Goatpath today:

1. Flip
2. Holler
3. Rapid Run
4. Lincoln Ridge
5. ARMCO Blue

Holler knocked my socks off. Freaking amazing course.

Tough to do cause so many i like but I'll give it a biased try.
1.winter park wi. (just got done working on tee pads out there today! wish the county would allow concrete! )
2. I'll just say highbridge(which course? does it matter?bear,blue,gold,granite
3.hiestand Madison wi(i live a mile away.)
4.brown deer Milwaukee( they just added gold pins!)
5.sandy point resort (ummm.... yes)

1 Flip City - just because its so damn fun
2 Stony Creek - new layout 27 holes, great for long distance throws
3 Firefighters (troy mi) 18 holes but fun as hell
4 Addison Oaks - challenging precision throws in summer
5 Hudson Mills - only played once when i was a noob

All Courses in michigan 2,3 and 4 are within 30 min of eachother

honorable mention : RIVERBENDS, would be a great course if they mowed the fairways, fixed broken teepads, and did something about the two seasons there SWAMP and MOSQUITO.

Do the gold pins at Brown Deer have concrete or just natural teepads?

Listing local courses within 1.5 hours of Milwaukee

1. Brown Deer
2. Zobel
3. Grey Fox
4. Heistand
5. Dretzka

Brown deer has made changes on holes 1,4,5,9,13,16 when everything is long, watch out the course can tear you apart.

Thanks! :hfive:

I mis-read your previous post and thought they added new pads, when you clearly posted that they added new pins/baskets.

I have not been there for a while, so I am going to get back up there for at least a few rounds when the course re-opens next spring.

Connor: Do you like Flyboy? Just couldn't really tell.
