2023 DGPT Play It Again Sports Jonesboro Open (pres. by Prodigy)

Steve, what's the conventional thought on Jonesboro's hole 18? It's always been one of my favorites to play and watch on coverage.

Friday looks like the nicest of the 3 rounds (50s-60s and <10mph wind),
Saturday is showing some rain showers coming through for the full FPO field and part of the early afternoon for MPO - lead/chase card may get a slight advantage
Sunday amps up the wind to 15-20mph.

Wind direction is forecast the same for all 3 days (NW).
Jonesboro did get pushed later in April a couple weeks progressively over the last few years to now taking up the former GBO/DDO final April weekend probably to get a bit more springtime weather/growth on the course.

I like Jonesboro because it has stayed pretty much the same layout for multiple years in a row now (MPO 9885ft->9995ft and FPO 8537ft->8572ft in 2022). It makes good use of the terrain and demands a variety of shots out of the pros with some scrambling from errant/out of position shots and risky putting/approaching the greens on slopes/elevated baskets. The elevation changes don't seem to translate to the media coverage well but it is fun seeing some of those power distance drives across valleys.

Paige on the first card out, cant be that common?

poor Ella . . Eveliina, Henna and Heidi on her card, not much english spoken on that card :)

Typically that's where the TD puts potential injury dropouts, as it seems Paige has since done.

Tattar with a not so hot first round.

Who's gonna start the obligatory "Has Tattar peaked?" thread?

Kidding aside, it very unlike Kristin to finish 7 stroke behind the leader. Lets see how tomorrow goes.
