Yeah... I thought that I'd just put in a couple baskets and throw a couple lines at them, too. Once you get started, it's really hard to stop! Have fun, btw!
And how many WV courses do you still have to go?
Do you guys think I could put a 9 hole course in on 4 acres of land. There is a little bit of elevation and I would need to clean up
I've played a 21 holes on about 12 baskets on a 5 acre lot with a house on the lot. Wouldn't want more than 3 groups on it at any one time though. It was a lot of elevation, a steep hillside in fact.
Ya, when I figure out the owner of the property, and if I get the go ahead, it's definitely happening.
Unfortunately I haven't played any new courses in a while. There's still the three unlisted courses to get to. One near Fayetteville (which I'll get soon), a private one in Morgantown, and the Boy Scout Summit Reserve course. There's also a new one going in close to Charleston in Dunbar. Pretty excited about that. If the course behind my house ever happens, I'll let you know.

And, if you're interested, and you get permission to play the private Morgantown course, I'd be interested in checking it out, too. :hfive:
Yes, on both counts; I have a course in my backyard, and bought land just to build a course. Well, that's not quite true; I bought it to build a course and a house.
If there's a better backyard course than Stoney Hill, I don't believe you.
Well, we like it. Glad you like it and have enjoyed it, too.
Though there are many excellent backyard courses, some of which are higher rated, some cited earlier in this thread.
Im actually working in Morgantown the next two days. Havent heard about this private course. I always thought Morgantown area should have more than just Dorsey's Knob.
Also Knettles.. where is the course in Fayetteville? Im only 30 mins from there and could play it anytime.
Thank you! That sounds promising I will definitely be giving it a go after schools out. I definitely can not afford baskets any more though. What are some fun alternatives?
