I did a summer semester at Northwestern Michigan College and had a course on campus and a basket about 50 or so feet from my dorm room window.

Is that the one in Traverse City? I played that when it was brand new, like maybe 2001 or so?

Yep that's it. Bonus having Hickory Hills a 10 minute drive away. It gets really, really cold up there in the winter months though so summer semesters recommended only. Unless you like skiing and ice fishing and whatnot then it's basically awesome up there

I wonder if the op ended up getting the best of both worlds... a degree at a good school and lots of disc golf. Hasn't been logged on since 2014 so we may never know.
