Dear all,

we are planning to schedule a visit in spring time 2013 to Charlotte.
Me and my friend playing since 3 years and we love it!!!!
Which courses we have to play as a MUST in the area of Charlotte?
we will stay for one 1 week.
Is there any PRO who will give traing lessons? That would be great for us.
We playing at our home course at Rüsselsheim (near Frankfrut) 18 lines/ 65 PAR - distance 2.700 Meter water / trees!
Disc golf is becomming more popular and we are a group of round about 100 active disc golfers!!!!! Not bad or?

Thanks all to you for your support!
Greetings from Germany

There is a thread for the must plays courses in Charlotte There are several great courses. I liked Renny, Hornet's Nest, and Reedy.
Kilborne did not live up to the hype and Nevin is there if you want to get beaten up by a course.

First off, Welcome to the site! I have a cousin currently living in Germany, and if/when I come to visit him, I'll have to swing by and play with you.
As far as courses in Charlotte, you should definitely check into Angry Beaver, Renaissance Gold, and Nevin Park. Those are three of the best in the area. I also personally like the Scrapyard named because they used the sale of scrap metal to pay for the course!
Once again, welcome to DGCR and we look forward to seeing you Stateside soon!

Please bring German girls and German beer, and I will show you whatever courses you want. Thank you.

What kind of beer?
JEVER (bitter) from the North or PAULANER (Weissbier) from Munich?
Girls? we will see

Are you familiar with Anheuser Busch? Basically, just bring any beer that's the farthest thing away from Busch and you'll be good. ;)

My list of must plays is:
Hornet's Nest (Web if you want a beating)
Renaissance (Renny Gold if you want to be murdered viciously)
Nevin (Can be brutally tough but a great course)
RL Smith (A must if elevation change is essential)
Elon Long (the Angry Beaver is the quintessential NC woods course + Elon short is a fun warm up)

Then there are solid, more fun oriented courses:
Bradford (Hard not to like)
Eastway (Love the front 9).
Stumpy Creek (tough but fair)
Reedy Creek (just plain fun)
Kilborne (old school NC woods golf)
Scrapyard (I've heard nothing but good things but I haven't played it yet)*
Bradley Center (great back 9)
Sugaw (another oldie but goody I haven't gotten to yet)*
Wingate (Plantation Ruins won't ruin your good time; good counter to Renny)

Glenn C. Hilton in Hickory and Fox Chase in Albemarle are really good courses if you don't mind driving a bit. Fox Chase is one of my faves, period.

Sorry, I keep thinking of ex Charlotte Hornet David Wingate.

Hi!!! Welcome to DGCR! I've been trying really hard to get some more German members on this site...especially in the north!

I'll be in Rüsselsheim and Mainz tomorrow to do some training. :)

Enjoy your stay in USA!!!!
