Hey,

New to the forum, but i wanted to ask around as to what actual type of plastic is best used for creating discs? urethane plastics? platinum silicones? i wanted to try my hand at making some discs. i have the mold making expertise, i just need to know the correct material to get started. any ideas?

It's usually a blend of polymers and other additives for weight, etc. Polyurethane, polyethylene, polypropylene are all used. Detailed discussion can be found here... http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25220%5Dihv
