It wouldn't surprise me if they stopped making those flippy photons at sub 140g.
Orbital by design should be better really.
Phase and Orbital were part of the 4 high-speed distance class announced in January. The other two from that class (Photon and Wave) are already out. Bags were a surprise though.
I made a horrible video showing some of the Nucleus bag features.
I'm still laughing, on the inside. And I was laughing the whole time I did field work. Giggling like a dumb little kid at the silliness of the Phase, and Orbital.
It's like Chad and Brad said,
"You guys think we can't do it?"
"Here, watch this."
And thus, the two most extreme discs in MVP's lineup were born.
The Orbital is The One. It is what we noodles have pined for. THE "flippy" disc. I use the term very sparingly, but the Orbital is truly a very understable disc. My first lazy warm-up throw with my 171 Orbital went almost 300 feet. Let me repeat that. I don't throw 300 unless a few things come together. Certainly not cold. And certainly not on a 60% power throw. That's when the laughing started. Impossible anny lines? Yep. Standstill nearly vertical hyzers that still flip to flat and ride forever? You bet. Worm burners because you accidentally didn't put enough hyzer on it? Those too. It takes understable to a whole new level for MVP. The Insanity, Virus, Impulse, Switch...all of those...forget it. They are stable in comparison. I threw a 300' anny standstill high over some trees, and it panned out beautifully, and may have gone 350 if it didn't hit the last tree. It's a ridiculous disc. AND I LOVE IT!!!
Yea I'd be interested in hearing what AIM says about how they roll. That wing doesn't look to me like it would roll predictable lines.
