Had one of the straps on my Phenix quads break today and I plan on ordering another set tomorrow but wanted to check here first.

Are the Phenix Quads still pretty much the norm out there or has anyone come out with something that makes your shoulders feel as if they were being massaged by 12 larger breasted women when you wear them?

IDK if older Phenix straps are like this, but the 2 straps that attach closest to the putter pocket have some elasticity to them.

There are elastic bands on Phenix quads between the padded straps themselves and the adjustable straps. They work as shock absorbers, hence the term qued shocks.

I do not run quads, but you should be able to check these out locally.

I'll take a look at them today, 10$ cheaper than the Phenix and who wouldn't want to be a "ToolRider".

Those are basically identical to the DGA straps. I had a set and they were comfy but the length adjusters do slide very easily. Unless you wear your straps fully extended you will need to figure out a way to lock them. I remember some people mentioning safety pins holding them in place pretty good.

The sliding length adjustment is my only beef with these. That and the snap for the strap that pulls across the chest breaks VERY easily. I'd recommend wrapping it in electrical tape right from the start, just in case. For $26 (you can get them on Amazon w/free shipping too). Quads are still king, but these are the most cost-effective option out there.

I picked mine up at Menards for $22.
I agree the sliders move easily. I just used safety pins to hold them in place myself and it works great.
I actually love the metal loop on the back. I use it all the time to hang my bag at the course.
The front pouch also holds my Vibrant to listen to music as well. Its just not quite deep enough to latch shut.

Checked around the local Home Depots today to try and find a set with no luck, Marshall St had 10% off straps for the month so I ended up ordering a set from them.

Was hoping to get a look at the Toolriders, I like the metal ring and pouch idea.

Anyone know much about these Fade ones? They look tasty.

A couple guys around here have had them and they came apart on them, I do like the rain fly pouch idea though.
