p.s.- And probably one of the reasons DGCR has such a large Discraft following. Because people were able to buy a pack and test discraft at a cheap price.

Finding that hole ws my highlight....with a second place being my idiotic quest to play 147 holes on a winter day covering a few hundred miles in the pouring rain!!! I got 129 in.

Those were my personal favorite moments...the funniest **** ever was when Dave 242 switched his rating on Idlewild and all the Flip City people had heart attacks!!!

My #2 personal highlight of the year just happened.....helping orchestrate the #1 highlight for opti. :)

My #1 highlight was like opti's #2 - I played 311 holes in one weekend......including a 2 round doubles tournament at Lemon Lake (Blue and Gold) which slowed me down, but was a lot of fun. The serious chafing going on at the end of the weekend was the lowlight of the year. :thmbdown:

I am honored that I got a mention in the best of 09. I had a lot of fun putting that poll together and I'm glad people enjoyed the results.

My two other favorite things from this year were talking about the the hole on hole 8 and reading "Full Metal Basket."
 
I keep waiting for the "If you found Katana lost on the course, would you return him?" poll. That might put a good end to 2009.
 
War Eagle keeps getting brought up without giving props to the community (especially Midnightbiker) that tried to do the right thing and help somebody that, they thought, got a raw deal. I hope that everyone isn't jaded because of that one douchebooster.

I've met some great people on this site and I'm really proud to be a part of our disFUNctional family. You all have a massive amount of talent and knowledge about our sport and the world beyond. I'm proud to sport a DGCR sticker on my car.

#1 getting back into the game after too many years away
#2 realizing as much as I love this game, the people in it are the bomb
#3 shaving a bunch of strokes off my game due to study, hard work and infatuation
#4 discovering that dgcr is full of hapless, hopeless, helpful, hopeful fools like me
#5 knowing an old geezer like me can bomb one over the water when some of the young guns lay up

PS Big shout out to TimG and ALL contributors to this site...you rock!
 
I've been thinking the new poll should be "If you were on the tee and Katana was putting, do you throw in on him to teach him a lesson? (remember, he might take your disc)"



I've really enjoyed getting on this website and filling my brain with useless knowledge every day.

doesn't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world i know, but still cool to have.

amazing how the place has grown in the last 12 months..
 
I first played in July 2009. Got my own discs.Got my first ace. Got my own bag. Broke 300' driving. Joined a local club. My goals for next year include getting extremely accurate up to 300'. Improve my putting confidence circle from 15-20' out to 20-30'. Win a PDGA event in the Int. division. And play at least 10 new courses.

Allow me to reiterate, because I don't want to sound like I'm giving any credence to what this little Duechetard did. I just read through all the threads, and I really saw the heart in some of you! I feel bad for what happened, but what the DGCR guys did really put a shining light on the fact that there are still good people out there. People that will step up to help, and that is something that is truly represented here! So to all of those that did contribute, I hope you all will be blessed this Christmas season! To wingnut... May he be constantly be referred to as "those of whom we do not speak"!

I just read it for the 1st time. I wasn't "threading" then so I missed it. One dude says "Keep your chin up" LOL. Yes please do so I can smash it with my bumper jack. :D To think that I used to write a review and just close the computer and then 1 day I stumbled into the thread area and it didn't take long to figure out that many of us belong in white hospital gowns.
