Total noob help...extreme left hooks

To the OP: you mentioned throwing an Archangel (one of my fave discs) which I think is good for any level of player...all the tips on here are right on. I think the problem is simply you trying to put too much arse behind it. Focus on an easy, smooth release. That Archangel will glide for days, but if you're putting too much power on it it's going to do exactly as you describe. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress!
 
That is a pretty good lineup for a beginner. I would work mostly with the Comet and Aviar, and slowly work in the Leopard then TeeBird. Try for a nice SMOOTH & FLAT release. Don't try to muscle things too much as this leads to Off Axis Tourque. This will make your disc wobble or turn and burn to the right.
