Hole 11 is mostly unplayable with storage containers and heavy equipment temporarily occupying the fairway. Also lots of construction activity around hole 18 and the tree growth over the years makes throwing Hole 18 Long a dicey and potentially dangerous proposition

This course is located on the campus of Clayton Homes. The front 9 are almost exclusively wooded holes with an average distance of ~400 ft. Starting at hole #10, the course opens up to mostly flat fields with the average hole distance jumping to ~550 ft. Several of the back 9 holes have multiple tees, including hole 18 that features a tricky downhill shot over a creek through a relatively small opening in a tree line.

The course is groomed regularly by the Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks & Recreation Commission and the paths are clearly marked. It offers championship-level challenges and covers about 120 acres with two permanent baskets on each hole.
