[Discraft] NUKE OS

Interesting video. It turned a little more than I thought, but those were big guns into a very stiff wind. Makes we wonder where exactly it falls in terms of stability when compared to the force.

camerawork was a little suspect .... would have been nice to have better footage of the disc flight. Only one you could really see was Barsby's at the end.

ya that is the only one i could see even close to its complete flight. the disc seemed to hold itself in a pretty stiff wind. dumb name tho...like incredibly dumb.

Mccabe was throwing a proto awhile back at lewisville and said it was junk, maybe they tweeked it since then

Wow. I literally was just talking to a kid that I think has gotten really good last weekend about what he would do if he went pro and got a sponsor and he was most concerned with if he went Discraft because he found the Nuke too flippy. Obviously he isn't perfect but the kid does have a hell of an arm and this exactly what he wanted.

It just joined the Ape, pd2 family.

Long fast overstable drivers.

As much as everyone hates on them they are a necessary disc if you are trying to throw 400+ is a headwind.

im interested since im now constantly turning over my brand new max weight z forces.

What was McCabe's beef with it?

He just said it was junk wasnt as overstable as they said it would be. Could have been a bad batch but I dunno. A really F'ed flight plate didnt help those

I throw a boss 400 in a headwind just fine

Then again a stock ape flies like a brand new champ feldberg boss to me.

and then again you have been playing forever and have good technique.

I do what I can with my Xcals but I do not have a destroyer beefy enough to handle a 35 mile an hour headwind with out way too much hyzer which takes off the distance.

I threw an ape for a while but it still flips in a headwind.
I am interested to throw a pd2.

But in the end it is all preference.

Not even a max weight Echo Star Destroyer? That's about as beefy a disc at that speed as you can possibly find.

I still don't understand this, I carry a Z Nuke and it's definitely not flippy. With almost a flat release it will turn at 450'+ power, but it's not turning and burning, just a slow turn. Does 400' hyzers without a problem.

They keep making these super fast overstable discs for people that can't control their spin vs velocity ratio. The best wind player I've seen was at collegiate nationals, a guy from Kansas. If you were watching the live footage, you'd know how bad it was (35+ with gusts over 40). He was throwing buzzzes all day long in that, while most were reaching for gators, drones, firebirds etc.

/end hate on superfast OS discs
