[Question] Most Underrated Disc Ever!

I also do not see anyone use the banger-gt.

My first putter was a dga blunt gumbputt. I used that for about 4 months until I saw this weird looking disc with a groove in the top of it from my local disc store. So I bought it. It was a soft banger-gt. started putting with it and have used it ever since. I putt with a 166 ESP Banger-gt. It has been my putter for about 3 years now. I also have a lot of other bangers I have used or I just have.

I have picked up a lot of other putters ever since just to change it up. But I keep going back to my banger-gt. I am the only person I know and have seen putt with that disc. It is my go to putter and it is not going to change. Also, if anyone has any ESP banger-gt's round 165-168, I am interested.

IIRC, the Banger-GT is a major asset to McCabe's game. There's always an exception. Also, I'm still a big fan of the Rogue. Very controllable. Seems like a forgotten disc.

Surge SS: It's not the most underrated disc ever, but it didn't seem to catch on like the Flow, Nuke, Katana, etc. Probably because of the dumb name. Regardless, the Surge SS is a versatile distance disc for people sitting in the 325-400'+ range.

For me it's the Aero. When you need a precision approach from 180' on in that'll stick the landing it's money. Holds any line you put on it, particularly great for touch annies.

I agree the Viking is underrated as well.

I think it's because the newer circle-stamp XS's suck, at least in Z plastic. I have a couple older Z XS's that are money. They're a bit understable and can really bomb, but the new circle stamp ones are much more overstable and have a lot less glide. They're more like a glideless Teebird. Not sure what happened to this disc, but something did happen to it; that much I know. And now they suck.

Second this.
I lost an old Z-XS that was money, lost it and have not been able to replace it with any of the Z-XS that I've found. All glideless crap.
Anyone got an old Z-XS for me???

Champ Banshee. I use it for flicks, FH cut rollers, overhand shots, wind fighting duties and flexshots to bend around obstacles. Just a great disc overall.

I love my ESP cyclone. I found it at my local course. overstable and it holds lines better than anything. It is my go to for hyzer chip in shots RHBH or RHFH I also use it over hand and in strong headwinds. I haven't been able to find another cyclone that flys like it. most are understable or just glide too much.

The biggest one for me is the Yeti Aviar. It seems like I am one of the few who really likes them more than the KC Aviars (and I like them a LOT more than KC's). Second place is probably the Whippet. When you just need something to go left, it does it. It is also the best OH disc I have ever thrown.

Couldn't bring myself to read through all 22 pages but if it hasn't already been said the Goblin is easily the most underrated disc I've ever thrown. I absolutely love them!

I absolutely LOVE my esp meteors. They're slightly understable if you throw it hard and high enough, it will sweep ever so slowly and with very little fade. you can really bomb those things with the right line, 300+. so controllable. I never see anybody throwing them in the sf bay area.

I also love my esp flx drone. So predictable, throw it as hard as you can it will not turn over. Also fights the wind like It will not go far, but it is one of my go to approach discs. this thing is money

Another disc I use often that doesn't get too much love is the Surge SS. it is a bit flippy for me, especially if I give it full power. I use it for long anhyzer shots. I can be launched.

I think this disc was mentioned early on, but I'll plug it again. The discraft ESP impact is an amazing disc. It just wants to stay in the air forever. Some people think that the cross hatched rim is just gimmicky, but it's actually the key component to enhancing glide. It will hold a dead straight line at low power, 5 feet off the ground for 200'. It will also take a full power huk off the tee dead straight and land soft, or anny more perfectly than any other disc I've ever seen.

YES! I walked into a 3ft deep river today (in New Hampshire, in November) to get mine after a bad ricochet and will always do so. A very picky disc but once you master it the thing will do your bidding.

Here's another vote for the SL...aka Pro Starfire!

I have a beat 171 Star SL and a newer 175 Star SL in the bag right now. I also have an old Pro Starfire that is $$$ for anhyzer shots, but I am going to have to take it out of the bag for winter golf b/c it's white.
