What are the biggest Disc Golf College towns?

Athens, GA is kinda 'meh'. There's lots of casual players, but not that many that are serious about it. It would probably help if there was some type of "official" course on campus.

yea... what do you mean by college town? an actual town or small cities?

if you include small cities i'd say Asheville, NC

i think OP is confused as to what a college town is. it is not a school with a good athletics program. its a town(not city) that if not for the university, would not exists.

I'm thinking along the lines of schools with good Athletic Programs.
Good or well known? As in NCAA Division I well known. I mean there's a lot of good Division II, Division III, & NAIA athletic programs, but I doubt their accomplishments are all that well known outside their region.

Sad really, what with Sandy Creek being such an awesome course out there. Georgia Tech has a team, but no real courses inside Atlanta.
I think Clemson probably has a decent DG crowd, and from what I've heard, University of Oregon has a pretty serious following.

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for. U of MD College Park has Calvert DGC down the street, but it not anything to write home about but the course is often crowded. U of Del has Iron Hill DGC down the street and is one of the hardest courses in the country.

i don't go to clemson anymore...but there is one on campus and two a few miles off campus.

and clemson is a real "college town" there is literally nothing else there withing a 20 minute drive, so the fact that there are three courses is pretty impressive.

That's more along the lines I was thinking.

Columbia (SC) is sometimes referred to as a College Town because the University of South Carolina is a major economic and social factor in the city. But Clemson really is, because the college dominates the town.

Charlotte has colleges and a huge disc golf population, but I wouldn't think of it as a college town.

If the O.P. asks what cities have major college athletic programs and big disc golf populations, that would be a little easier to define.

Clemson also has a team that did pretty well at the Collegiate Nationals, and I think one of their players was the individual champion. I think. (Too lazy to look it up). Even more impressive.

Austin and Charlotte are not college towns... they are metropolitan areas.

Lexington and Louisville Kentucky. Maybe more so Lexington since its smaller and almost everything is UK UK UK.
UK had a College Disc Golf Team up until maybe last year, dunno if "The Ville" has one.
