PDGA WORLD'S in Charlotte 2012

We already booked at Red Roof Inn with the pdga discount for $35 a night.

What division are you? Sugaw is kind of out of the way ... for MA1 anyways. There is a hotel (2 actually) right off exit 16 (between Hornets Nest and Nevin) The weekly rate was like $240. I stayed there for 3 weeks when I moved down from CT. They are mostly used by construction crews traveling up and down 77. It would be a good area for Pro's or people playing the North of Charlotte courses.

Supposedly they are trying to keep round times down so it probably won't be all Renny Gold. For Bradford it probably will be all/almost all longs. If you need a place to stay for your March trip just let me know Dana. I'm maybe ten minutes from Renny.

I belive Whiz is correct, Nevin Shorts, Renny Gold (with a few minor alterations), Bradford Longs.

i missed an invite by seven points!! there better be a spot for me on the May 1st sign up date! i booked my hotel a couple weeks ago haha to lock in a great rate! $32 a night! monday-sunday!

Prior female approval is always wise, lol!

Are there going to be any World stamps that show some of Charlotte or NC. The ones I have seen so far look like they are just designs.

Thanks for the heads up on hotels all. I am looking at options right now so any other feedback would be awesome. I am playing MA1 so keep that in mind as well.

Are the Pros and Ams playing the same courses? I'm putting together a course list for this year's worlds and right now I have both groups playing the same courses.

Just told my sponsor/ride that if I can get registered for this then I'm in! Gonna be an awesome trip! And on top of it all, it starts the day after my 21st birthday... I guess I'll have to wait to go hard after I get back...

Can someone/anyone tell me if it's easy to register for this? Or do I have to be on top of my game to get in before it fills?

TIA.

Two years ago when it was in Ohio, I secured a spot during open registration with no problem. I think there were 240 or so in Advanced that year, and fewer than that in Rochester last year. With it being combined, hard to say, but you'd think they'd try to accommodate as many players as possible.

288 is max for advanced, I believe . Be on top of your game... it wont fill right away...but it may fill sometime and I would be a shame to miss out.

I am not trying to raise any controversy but does anyone in the Charlotte club know if there are going to be designated smoking locations? I know the PDGA made an amendment to allow for out of the way smoking locations at the majors this year and I wanted to know if that will be the case at Worlds this year. Thanks,
