The start of my round on hole 15 at Lake Marshall Lions at sunrise. Straight ahead on the far hill into the woods is the basket.

To the right a short walk into the woods is the 16th tee.

Coming at you by the lake is 12th fairway.

About 2300 feet to the far right into the trees is the steep uphill climb on 18, and in the middle is the highly elevated 11th tee coming at you.

To the left of 15 is the owners home, what a view and a backyard course!

First time I've played in Maryland…I've encountered some brutal rough in Texas, but this is next level. It's like every species of tree in North America trying to grow in the same 10 foot square

Haha. Sounds about right for late summer, just need some vines and poison ivy. :p

What course, if you don't mind me asking?

Lol....I don't even see any raspberry, rose bushes or poison ivy. This is what courses along most of the east coast and all of the midwest look like. Church!!

Heheheh. A friend visiting North Carolina "from away" once asked me on the course if there was any poison ivy and how could he recognize it. I asked him if he recognized pine trees. He said of course. I said then assume everything else is poison ivy and you'll be good. [emoji106][emoji41][emoji23]

The Park at Faith Church

This is what it can look like when you start to install a course in the Pittsburgh area. Played the Faith Church course this week. It's just roughed in but I gave it a whirl. As is, I see lots of potential for a nice, short, course. There is LOTS of hard work coming for the team putting it in, though. I wish them well!

I think that the primary weed seen in this pic is Stiltgrass. I hate this stuff. It's all over courses I've been on in WV, PA, and MD. It's a particularly bad problem on my Knobley Mt. course.
