Today I had my best raffle at a tourney: BB aviar, beadless aviar, star valk, first run star stamped mako, a big bird roc tee shirt, and an innova chainstar basket. What are your best raffle winnings? Please tell........

At an end of the year league party I won a bag of discs that included a 11x Teebird and a Wasp tooled Buzzz!

Over the course of 12 months I won a Custom color Disc King portable basket, an Innova traveler, 2 Gorilla Boy bags 30+ discs and some other swag, all while putting in $20 or less at each raffle.

When I was 8 years old I went to a Ruritan convention with my dad. They were holding a raffle for three or four prizes with the top prize being $500. So my dad tells me to buy a ticket and they guy selling them was this old guy my dad knew. He bent the top corner of the ticket and told me it was a magical ticket and that I was going to win.

So the convention goes on, there was entertainment and a dinner and then towards the end they held the raffle. Well they bring out one of those giant shufflers with all the tickets in it and they call my name to come up on stage. Apparently because I was the youngest person there they wanted me to go pull the ticket out of the shuffler.

So I go up there and pull out three or four other names for the other prizes and the people come up and get their prize and then the time comes for the $500 prize. They shuffled the tickets around and I reached my arm in and pulled a ticket and handed it to the guy. He walked over to the microphone looked and the ticket and then started laughing; he looked back at me and then at the crowd and said "I don't think you will believe this but this kid just pulled his own ticket."

I didn't understand what had happened at first, he brought me over there and told me again that I had just pulled my own ticket to win $500. I think I thought it was a joke and that they were just playing with me but he showed me the ticket and sure enough it was the one with the bent edge, it was the magical ticket.

As soon as I realized what had happened I jumped off the stage and ran to the bathroom because I thought I was going to piss myself. I remember telling my parents that I was quitting school because I was set for life with my $500. It's one of those moments I remember crystal clear and I don't think I'll ever forget.

As far as disc golf raffles, I won a KC signed Monster and a set of custom Pumpkin Shootout cornhole boards! There were three prizes and I won two of them.

This isn't disc golf related but at a recent renewable energy fair I attend, I entered a raffle with a company that sells new windows, doors, siding, roofing, etc....and no joke on Friday I got a call and I won the grand prize, $2500 in home improvements!!! Hell Yeah! I am getting some new energy efficient windows. Whoop Whoop!

My dad won a Custom mini dga basket with tourney stamp on top. Then he won the other one! Twin mini baskets. He gave one to my son. Good raffle day.

I remember a long time ago I went to a computer trade show with a friend of mine. Every 45 minutes a different vendor would have a presentation on some new hardware or software they were promoting and if you sat through the presentation you could enter a slip to win some giveaway at the end of the presentation. After the first presentation (we didn't win) I started folding my slip in half and half again and then when it opened it made a little pyramid shape - I won three drawings in a row, then my buddy started doing the same thing and we ended up together winning 8 of the 12 giveaways. We walked away with like a grand worth of stuff between us.

Won an AM spot in a 9 hole skins match today at Hotlanta ... skins were $40 each. Put $20 in for 20 tickets. The top 4 scoring pros pulled from the raffle their AM partners. Cameron Colgazier picked me. The other pros were Matt Orum, Kevin McCoy, and Matt Dollar.

We only got 1 skin, but it was just a really cool experience to be a part of. Got my $20 and bought some Yuengling with it afterwards ... win-win
