Do you ever decline an offer to play through?

If so, why?

I've never done this because I think it would be awkward to keep catching up to the same group and having to wait each time.

Yes, because I like to throw discs at people. It is harder to do when they are behind you.

Yes, I like to hangout in secluded areas of the park sometimes. Take that whichever way you want.

i never decline to play through but i have had people do that when i offered, usually they just want to watch me and follow along

^^does that bother you or are you flattered that they want to watch you?

All the time! Why you ask? Because usualy there are a bunch of groups of 4-6 scattered through out the course I play ( because for some reason I like to play at the busiest time ) so I decline to play through all the time because of it. Now if they are gonna take 45 minutes to find a disc sure...but if they are taking a minute or something ill wait. Plus I hate having a group of people behind me, makes me throw bad haha.

I have declined offers many times because I tend to play slow rounds. Even by myself, I believe it is from constantly havinb to use my scorecard apps. on my evo 4g. I use a card half of the time also, but since I paid for the apps., Iwant to figure out how to use them and see if I like it better than a regular card.

I have never asked to play through, nor have I ever declined to play through. Although I do agree with Spooky above, I hate having a group behind me for a second as I feel this stupid need to play quickly to justify passing through, which bites me in the arse most of the time with bad shots. Then I feel like a donkey for playing through them with a bad shot.

Hmmm, maybe I should start declining. :D:D

If I don't have any plans afterwards, sometimes I will decline. Learning to slow down is important for tournament play.

I played through a group at Bradford a few weeks ago -- I'd been playing alright right up until they let me through. Took a double bogey on that hole, and almost lost my drive on the next. Two holes later another group let me through -- I misthrew my drive and almost hit them! Of course, the next hole I threw a great drive, and they were watching, so that made up for it.

I've thought about declining when people have let me play through, especially on a course I've never played, but I figure that having someone right behind them could make them play worse, too. I'll play through and thank them, even as I show them exactly how bad I am :-(

Depends. If I'm playing fast, I'll accept the invitation. If I'm playing slow, I'll probably just tag along behind.

Of course my favorite is to join up and play WITH the group - that way you can get 10-15-20 people in a group and basically take over the whole d@mn course :D

Whenever a group offers to let me play through (if I'm alone) I ask if they would mind if I just join them instead. Also... if I am by myself or in a group of just 2 or 3 and a single quicker player is catching up I/we wait on the next pad and offer to let them play through, or invite them to join our group. My thinking is that the more sets of eyes you have to work with... the quicker you can find a lost disc. Plus I don't know what it is about this game, but it has turned me from an introverted people hater to this total social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people and sharing a nice round.
