Brainwave-Like Disc Dyeing

The vinegar isn't working for me.... it keeps mixing to liquid-like.

The dish soap is too runny... I can't get it thick enough. What are you guys doing to make it thicker?

Sweet... thanks man. You are super fast at responding. I have my ring drying overnight (actually for like the next day because it is bliz champ plastic). We will see how she turns out.

Yeah... I was snowed/iced in today and I'm already addicted to the site so.... yeah

Here is my best from last night. Kinda hate the yellow edge. Might redo it with the ring technique and blue

Dude... that looks amazing. I wish I could get mine to turn out that nice. I'm guessing that disc is GL? I need to pick up some light colored gl to play with.

Did you start with a white disc.... then brainwave the red... then marble blue, yellow, and red? That really is a piece of art. For real.... you could put that in an exhibit.

I love that people are figuring out the secret brainwaves technique!! I have nothing against the originator, but he was way overprotective of this awesomeness.

It is understandable.... dude was making a living by being the best and probably only person getting the brainwaves.

Does anybody know how he was getting these dyes to come out...

I'm guessing that he was using a potters wheel.... or a record player. His color of dye is way brighter than any of the brainwave-like dye I have seen. I am still wondering what dye he was using.

Also.... has anybody tried brainwave on gateway S plastic.... I know it is close to dx plastic.... so I'm not sure if the dye will keep from fading.

Alright guys.... here is my ring. The dye was not quite dark enough.... and it was RIT red on a champ plastic. I kinda expected it to come out with a ghost appearance. The disc actually looks better in person. I still need to try to take the rest of the stamp off more. Waiting a couple of days though.. don't want to smear any dye with acetone.
