Brainwave-Like Disc Dyeing

Please don't knock Dan Howard on his artistry, the medium he was working with was limited.

Yeah I read all the posts. It looked awesome at first. It's good to know the dye on that plastic doesnt last. I've been thinking about dying some of my own discs.

Even some from THE master Jeff Ash have had similar fading on ion plastic. One just sold on an auction group on FB that looked much lighter from when it first came out

I have a few 'last month' Jeff Ash dyes. He was willing to experiment, and I wanted to note that this blizzard Boss has faded a TON. but then, I do throw it. I'm trying to preserve THE GL Shield Stamp Saint. It's in plastic, on the wall, and out of direct sunlight. Seems to be holding up fairly well in that plastic.

Ok, so who is the best at the brainwave style dyes these days? Is it Dan Howard? And if so, how do I get a hold of him? Or if he sees this, will you PM me? I have a couple VERY RARE and unique discs that I would like done, but I am very nervous about sending them out. I have seen Dan's work and have been very very impressed, I just don't want to send it to somebody who experiences a lot of inconsistencies. Not trying to bash anybody's ability, just want the best dye for these gems. If Dan is the best, how do I get some dyes from him, if it's you, PM me and let me see what you've got. Thanks!

And I believe it to be this guy on here goosefraba1 he does sick work.

Thanks buddy... I have been busy with school recently because I am on rotations and away from home most of the time. I would still highly recommend Dan Howard if you are able to get a hold of him. Also... I would look into wondernut. He occasionally will do the brainwave patterns. I believe he is currently trying to raise money for jeff ash. I would love to see his brainwave patterns with his dye. Obviously, he isnt using the punky color. I dont have time to experiment to find out what he is using.... but it clearly isnt the same dye that jeff ash was usibg.

For his Brainwaves? I've never seen a Wondernut Brainwave - How do you know he isn't using Punky Colour?

He just mentioned it at one point on facebook... i think it is a limited run to help with jeff ash. This was a few months ago. I just know that he isnt using punky because believe me when I say that I have dyed enough with punky to tell. His dyes are holding for a longer time... and producing more vivid colors on plastics that punky doesnt take well on.

Goldline as well as star plastic will take and hold dye faaar better than champion type plastic every time.

Yeah.... so if anybody is just looking at this thread. Look at Jeff's shield saint for a minute. The brainwaves used there are negative brainwaves.... no biggie. Im assuming that Jeff used punky to do those. Now the curious thing to note about this saint is actually the red rim around the waves. That is not punky dye. That is something else.... and I believe that is the new dye that wondernut has been using. This is one of Jeff's last dyes before his incident. This is the dye that we need to do detective work on next.

Has anybody seen the new dyes that wondernut is using? Im on my phone... or else I would post a link from facebook. They are rather impressive.

these are them I think
