Post Your Disc Golf Injury Pics

I'm so much younger than the other patients at this rehab facility, I feel out of place.

Half of me thinks it would be fun to fake having dementia, just to see what happens. Pretty sure I could pull it off.
Did you ever watch Brickleberry on Cartoon Network? This is your chance to pretend you are Denzel. :|

One of the PT's here is a DG'er, and the maintence/mechanical guy who installed the trapeze on my bed had same surgery I had on one of his leg's a year ago, right around his birthday, too!

Told me its a bit stiff, took a long time to really fully heal, but he has full range of motion. :)

From the link Ru4 provided:
People who require surgery do better if the repair is performed soon after the injury. Early repair may prevent the tendon from scarring and tightening into a shortened position.

FWIW injury occurred approx 1 PM, Mar 2nd.
Surgery was 5PM, Mar 3rd, so about 28 hrs post injury. That's pretty soon after. I think decision to spend 7-8 hrs getting home was great in hindsight.

No doubt my recovery is going better than if I'd been away from home. My ex used to work with the Rehab Director where I'm at, and while the food and certain aspects of patient care here leave much to be desired, the rehab staff here is great. My ex knew that, given her past experience working under this Director of Rehab.

Pro Tip: avoid an ugly divorce! ;)

Looks like I got Nurse Ratchet today. This lady is rudely terse, and tou can tell just just goes through the motions, and doesn't seem to give fecal pellet. She feels as human a a mackerel.

Roommate kinda whispered to me "I hate that b!tch." I'm ust the person to find some way to amuse myself with her personality.

Conversely, the nurses aid we usually get at night is superb, has a great sense of humor, wonderfull attitude, and I've told her as much, and thanked her fir it.

Both will be appropriately listed on the Pros and cons when I submit my review of this place to the administrator.

Kinda full circle how DGCR has helped me get into this mess, while helping me hone the skill set to write about it. :D

But I sure as hell never wanna become a Diamond level Nursing Home Reviewer.

Side note: The velcro on these leg immobilizers is inphuckingcredibly strong and effective.

I've learned to keep a pillow case between my legs, because its a royal pain when the the velcro from one, gets stuck to the other.

If I posted pictures of my disc golf injuries.... it'd just be benign photos of my fuzzy lower back after every round I play the day after lifting something heavy. :p
