Texas States

There's no 30-day requirement any more but at least 500 of each model have to be out there legitimately available on the market before it can be used. No fair if 11 Prodigy players each have 46 of each model. ;)

awesome thanks for the clarification.

FYI, Ricky told me Wednesday for an article on RattlingChains.com that he had just picked up the M1 and M4 that day. Practiced with them Thursday, played the tourney this weekend. Crazy.

paul how did you get so good at being so lucky?

also big ups on another great showing. player of the year golfing right there.

today ricky threw a d1 in my eyeball, a star max in my eyeball some firebirds in my eyeballs, white mid ranges in my eyeball and Aviars in all of our eye balls

do I detect some animosity?
I assume the white mids are probably the M3 which is the only good color out of the bunch. Those seem to hold a line a lil better. That is if you can tell the difference between the M3 and M1....i hope for their sake they re-tool the M3...

I followed the lead card and the 2nd card (Williams, Convers, Hemmi, and Feldberg)

Ricky threw a few shots backhand from the tee. Even some of the tighter shorter holes out there. One thing I did notice. He had a few backhand tee shots that went off the fairway just on the left edge of the **** - but he can stand flatfoot and accurately bomb a forehand shot, so his outs were better than a lot of guys second shots from the fairway. His putting was just on all weekend.

Because of the lead he was carrying in the final round, I decided to jump ahead after 8 and watch the 2nd card. The action on that card was a lot more interesting. I heard Feldberg barking something at Bradley on hole 10 as he was looking for his disc (I guess it had to do with him being in front of Dave while he was next to shoot) It was a pretty enjoyable spectator card with Feldberg in the mix.

It was great finally getting to see a NT event up close following those guys. Really puts things into perspective.

And another thing - about the course. I think Manor is a pretty damn good representation of central Texas disc golf (specifically hill country golf) There's bad wind, cactii, locust trees, snakes, scorpions, and super thick overgrown rough. Where else but Manor would you play the Texas State DGC? Roy G and Met are both great courses, but I don't think either of them epitomizes "Texas" disc golf as much as Manor. It would've been great if the Pros could've played The Church (Austin Bible Ridge) but it's not a public park.

so from what i'm gathering here...ricky was lucky.

is this true? or could the field just not hang? i'd guess he just outplayed everybody.

he was 6 better than anybody in the second round. were they really struggling that bad or was he just good enough to gain a stroke every few holes? i don't understand how that round isn't rated a bit higher no matter what the scenario is.

Luck is an excuse... It's either an excuse for someone playing good to play off how good they played, or an excuse for a lesser player to have a reason to why they lost. I haven't played the courses but I've watched the tournament video twice now, and I don't see any incredibly tight fairways. If Wysocki was lucky this week, then McBeth was lucky winning worlds, Schuesterick lucky when he won the Memorial.

I'd like to hear more about the Joe Bishop situation.

Bradley Williams talks a little about it on his blog. You can read it here:
