This disc was been test driven this weekend at the Monkey Island Open in Emporia.

This thing is going to be extremely popular with golfers with <400 foot power. It has the perfect combination of speed, stability, and glide to fly farther than any disc designed for throwers of this range. Bomber will love it for massive anhyzers, rollers, and low power hyzer-flips.

This bad boy is going straight into my bag when it gets approved by the PDGA in the next few weeks.

Any details beyond telling me that the average disc golfer will want it because it flies farther? I mean, every disc Innova has released in the last decade has had that claim, and then Latitude showed up yammering on about how much glide they have. I can throw a Trident just as far as a River or Saint when I hit it right. No joke. But back to topic: What kind of flight are we looking at here? Based on your extremely vague description, it sounds like an Avenger SS, Sidewinder, Roadrunner, Archangel, etc. Understable disc?

Some info from another thread:

I'm still keeping quiet on the name but it's going through PDGA approval now so the name will be released publicly soon then. If you were at the Monkey Island Open today you heard it said a few times and if you were smart you threw the testers.

Also got to see the GBO stamped ones that will be in your player pack. They look...awesome. I only got one throw with it today and I released it flat. I think on a hyzer it would have worked out great. It's clearly slightly slower speed than the Trepass but not much. I'd say it's going to be a speed 11 but it's right around that 10 area. Should pair beautifully for me. Not real domey not real flat. Not a super shallow profile like a Mamba but it's not thick either. Feels kinda like an orc or pd in the hand? That's why I think it will be a speed 10 that glides and flies more like an 11.

I'm just speculating and I didn't hear any firm numbers that will be given but I'm going to say 11 5 maybe closer to 6 on the glide, -2 maybe closer to -3 on the high speed turn (Lucid plastic) and 1 on the low speed stability. Maybe a 2 but it seemed very straight at the end. I hope to pick up a tester on Monday and give it a few rounds to better get a feel for it.

It would be way premature to say but if I can hyzer flip it this might replace my GL Saint. It's definitely replacing the D4 which can be found at the bottom of the pond at Peter Pan after today. Where it belongs. :D

Big thanks to Jeremy, Emac, and everyone else at DD for today's tournament. To anyone doubting this team of people hosting world's I will say this.....you're a fool. Everything ran on time, smoothly, and I have another awesome Suspect and a Tursas I bought with my voucher. Worth more than the fee to enter.

Another thanks to Rob Martin on here, super cool guy and I was fortunate enough to play both rounds with him. I was also unfortunate enough to get beat by him. I think only a stroke though, I'll see you for the GBO my friend. Fair warning. I'm going hard on the practice putting. :D

They look nice with the GBO stamp and that crystal clear lucid plastic. I look forward to more time with the Renegade. Best name yet too I might have to get a Styx dyemax design.

I am a better than average thrower and I want it because it is going to go father. I threw it with a touch of hyzer and watched it flip up and cruise, then flip over slightly before it fought back.

I will not compare DD discs to other companies.

This disc will be the perfect compliment to or current drive line-up.

Hard to give any close comparisons after one throw for me but it's pretty much what I hoped the Mamba would be. It feels normal in the hand though not like the skinny profile of the Mamba. It's not that flippy either maybe -2.5 and 1 for the HSS and LSS I'm sure their sponsored players like Smitty and Emac will have more to say about it on social media as it gets closer to release. I heard a lot of big arms guys saying yesterday they got tons of glide and distance but no one saying it's too understable so that sounds good to me. I don't want a roller I want something I can pair with the Trespass for tailwinds and wide open fairways I have space to work with. Renegade seems to fit that on first impressions.

Quote me on this and # this page...its going to be a z surge ss. It's kinda catching me off guard with that blunt nose though still an expected speed 10-11...but I'm putting money on it be the surge ss...again...in z plastic. With of course more of lat64s amazing glide. Sorry surges....you might be ran out by an opto and GL renegade...

HA! Love it.

But to the post you're quoting that from: Nobody asked the guy to compare it to other discs. I was just saying that his description (vague as it was) sounded exactly like descriptions you hear about the discs that I named. The world does need another understable driver in the speed 10-11 area, almost as much as it needs the Zombee/FD/River/Leopard/Underworld/I'm not comparing companies here.

You'd sell more of them if you labeled it as an "easy to throw, beginner friendly long distance bomber" that's a speed 19 though.

Hmmm.....

Sounds a lot like a slightly tweaked Flow; or what the Flow should have been.

is the rim smaller than tresspass/wraith? Same size?

Trespass is being called a 12 speed, but discgolfsweden.se has it as the same rim size as a wraith/surge which are traditionally referred to as speed 11.

The above point is really not important, i just wanna know how big the rim will be.

Smaller by a little. I think it's a 10 or 11.

You guys can call it a Flow or a Surge SS if you want. Doesn't make it so. :D

I wouldn't compare it to either.
