I'm still keeping quiet on the name but it's going through PDGA approval now so the name will be released publicly soon then. If you were at the Monkey Island Open today you heard it said a few times and if you were smart you threw the testers.
Also got to see the GBO stamped ones that will be in your player pack. They look...awesome. I only got one throw with it today and I released it flat. I think on a hyzer it would have worked out great. It's clearly slightly slower speed than the Trepass but not much. I'd say it's going to be a speed 11 but it's right around that 10 area. Should pair beautifully for me. Not real domey not real flat. Not a super shallow profile like a Mamba but it's not thick either. Feels kinda like an orc or pd in the hand? That's why I think it will be a speed 10 that glides and flies more like an 11.
I'm just speculating and I didn't hear any firm numbers that will be given but I'm going to say 11 5 maybe closer to 6 on the glide, -2 maybe closer to -3 on the high speed turn (Lucid plastic) and 1 on the low speed stability. Maybe a 2 but it seemed very straight at the end. I hope to pick up a tester on Monday and give it a few rounds to better get a feel for it.
It would be way premature to say but if I can hyzer flip it this might replace my GL Saint. It's definitely replacing the D4 which can be found at the bottom of the pond at Peter Pan after today. Where it belongs.
Big thanks to Jeremy, Emac, and everyone else at DD for today's tournament. To anyone doubting this team of people hosting world's I will say this.....you're a fool. Everything ran on time, smoothly, and I have another awesome Suspect and a Tursas I bought with my voucher. Worth more than the fee to enter.
Another thanks to Rob Martin on here, super cool guy and I was fortunate enough to play both rounds with him. I was also unfortunate enough to get beat by him. I think only a stroke though, I'll see you for the GBO my friend. Fair warning. I'm going hard on the practice putting.
