I see some of the clubs are finally on the disc golf scene. Hopefully it catches on more. I hate having to check 8 websites and lolfacebook to see whats going on around town.

@Dave242: They've redesigned the course in Pulaski, WI. Took out almost all the water holes and made it largely a open/boring shot course. Unfortunately, some of the holes that were underwater when you played; were left in the new design.
I understand that no one was playing the course; primarily because you could lost plastic every time you played....but, there is still going to be no one playing there; and one of the better "water tough" courses I've every played no longer exists.
Hopefully, at least, it will get some local/noob play now...

That was a memorable course! I loved the uniqueness of it, especially those ponds (they used to be for harvesting a crop (which I do not recall - peas maybe?) to have the ripe fruit float. Thanks for taking me there, tallpaul! Not a great course, but certainly a great memory!

50 Acre Park is rumored to get concrete tees soon and will be closed on those days. Does anyone have more information so a member does not waste a drive to Evergreen Park?

My review explains why I rate it a 5.0.

On DGCR's rating scale it is not a 5.0, but on my scale it is. However, DGCR's scale is simply an average of every reviewers' "my scale"....so all scales are perfectly valid (provided people are honestly consistent in their rating scales).

I think you may have the most thumbs up out of anyone who doesn't have a trusted reviewer ranking.

Anyone else planning on playing the new round lake courses this weekend? They are supposed to be complete for Memorial day weekend. I'm heading up there at some undetermined time this weekend.

I might be interested in round lake if the new courses are playable. Are there any leagues or other stuff happening this weekend? Bloomington is far away.

Maybe we should do a massive DGCR meetup at Squaw someday. This weekend is no good for me though.

Im debating, but im probably gonna want to play it when everybody and there mother isn't there. I've also played it about 6 or 7 times without baskets

Yes sir! I took the boys there today and saw the Park District workers out there chipping away at the last few items before they install the signs and move the baskets.

I will probably be there Sunday and Monday (hopefully without the kids) if the weather and the wife cooperate.

I've been very tempted to head up there with my Machlite since I saw pics on here of the new fairways.

Did that one tree at OB ever come down? Even though I work down the street, I can't cut out at lunch for a round anymore since there's no longer anyone else to cover for me. I've been playing the Lombard duo almost exclusively since last fall due to convenience.

I'll be heading up there with the fam in tow. My wife was trying to give me grief about playing 36 holes while pregnant, until I reminded her that she played a tourney while brewing our first. We compromised to play one layout, go grab a bite to eat, and then come back to play the other.

Hope to see ya all there.

Wish I could be there to join the fun this weekend. Playing in the Sandy Point Team Invitational instead.

The park district has had the full crew out on Monday & Tuesday. It's pretty amazing how much they've gotten done over that time. The completed all the dirt work around tees today and marked all OB. They've started installing the tee posts.

Looks like these are the items left to do.
1. Tee posts/signs
2. Mow
3. Move baskets.

I have a feeling it'll be open Friday afternoon.

What's with the mando circus at highland? I seriously hope this is just a joke, or just a result of boredom. Some of these are just flat out ridiculous...

Are they doing the signs in phases or do they have all of them?
