Okay, so I am a green rookie. I just played my first round in 30* weather and played without any feeling in my hands, because I am an addict (or highly stupid).

Does anyone wear gloves? What kind? Batting Gloves? Runners Gloves?

I use my pockets lol

I played in an Ice Bowl tournament in 2004 and the Temperature was 8 degrees that day. It was awesome man. :hfive:

I use the small gloves that came with my snowboarding gloves. Take them off when you throw.

:hfive: glad I kept one for myself :wall:

but get some nice chopper/mittens (not gloves) and stick them in your jacket/hoodie pockets and keep your hands in there as much as possible. Nothing better than some good leather/wool choppers.

I just wear my all weather cycling lobsters while walking, take them off to throw. Or I have a lighter wind resistant pair I wear to keep the tips warm...a must.

And a hand warmer fits quite nicely in a pair of choppers.

very true.. always throw the disposalble ones in there for added heat :) hands get TOO hot keeping them on lol. I am not talking about the gym pants nylon style either. Broken shoulder knows the choppers some REAL mittens.

All good ideas! I was working in and getting a feel for a few brand new discs tonight. Afterwards, I threw them all overhand thumbers on the way back to my car. With a frozen hand. SheeeeeeeeyOUCH!

I never wear a glove on my throwing hand at least when I throw. But I do keep a hand warmer or 2 in my pocket. I also use a muffler but only when the temp or wind chill get to zero or less.

Sealskinz Performance Activity Gloves.

Best money I've ever spent on anything. Period.

not sure where you live. here in MD, winter weather is pretty mild.

i wear a pair of lightweight running gloves during the winter. take it off, throw, put it back on. annoying but it works. when it is colder, i will bring some handwarmers. the gloves are thin enough to let the heat through but my hands stay warm for the whole round.

Golf "cart mittens" are pretty great. You can stick a hand warmer in them too. Easy on, easy off. Warm air stays inside.

That, sir, is quite an endorsement. So, I googled them - those things are like $80 a pair!

Are they really that good?

only if they don't tear apart when you grab a ski toe rope :)

Most gloves can keep warmth but its the lifetime of them that SUCKS.

Listen to the people telling you about choppers, including me. Get a nice deerskin pair and a size big. So easy to slip your hand into and ball up your fist around that hand warmer, unlike gloves which I previously used. It turned into a hassle every time I had to throw so I eventually found myself not using them on approaches and short throws until I couldnt feel my hand anymore. By the time I decided to use them every shot again it was too late anyway.

Decent ski glove on the off(left) hand and a couple warmers in the right side pocket. Hand in pocket between throws.

I saw a guy wearing one of those tube things on a belt around his waist.
He took out his hands and turned it around to his back to throw.
After throwing, he pulled it back around and stuck his hands back in.
I have no idea what it is called, but I thought it was genius.
