already tired of finding 3 discs from the same guy (all look like new discs with less than ten throws) has his number on it and have called and returned them all out in easy to find spots. i found the fourth today guy seems like a lazy fu*k who doesnt want to walk off the beaten path to pick up his disc. i am thinkin i should place his disc deep in some blackberry's and tell him exactly where it is and see how long it takes him to pick it up. if i see it there a couple weeks from now i might change my mind on the whole returning disc situation. i have taken all efforts to return discs but lazy people have really started to frustrate me. should i jus call this guy and tell him to say bye to his disc and maybe he might take a little time to find his disc or what?

well the 3rd one was a star katana and i been wanting to try one but spending the money for one right now. i would be pissed to lose one.

mr. Lazy sounds like a noob as well ( loses new discs, writes his name on everything, dosnt pay attention) . Take pitty on him he probally just sucks ace .

i would at leat give that katana a test run

it's always great to return someones disc, but in this case...sounds like you're right. he's just letting others do the finding for him ya know. sux...so i'd keep, but most of the time would call.

ive got a story about lazy too. I found a disc with only a pdga number on it. so i look it up. I get his hometown only because his membership isn't current!

When I find a disc, I'll call and if I make some kind of cantact then it's on the person who I contacted. If I don't hear back from them in a couple of weeks I'll usually give the disc away. IOW I don't waste much time anymore. I got better thing to do.

Lazy, careless, and foolish particuarly when it comes to money. Sounds like you are doing the right thing by calling, but...

If you find another just leave it where you found it. Let someone else be his beotch.

And when I find a disc I generally will give it a toss or two. Since I never carry a cell with me I don't call until I get home.

I would call, but I wouldn't do anything to go out of my way for that guy anymore, I'd just leave a message telling him he could pick up his disc underneath the trashcan at hole 9 or something like that. I also don't see anything wrong with trying out a disc before you return it, I've done that and I've had people admit to me that they did that with my disc before returning it and it didn't bother me a bit.

We used to have a player here who was well off financially. He would buy a stack of discs and bring them out to the course to try them out. He wouldn't put his name on them unless he liked the way they flew, and more often than not, he would forget to pick up one or two. After several times of gathering up his lost discs, the rest of us would keep the ones with no names, even though we had a good guess who they belonged to. One of his mannerisms that really got us PO'ed was he would ask, "Tell me what you have found and I'll let you know if I lost it". That didn't work for him very long.

I have returned 4 or 5 discs to the same guy. I usually call him and tell him I will keep it in my car until we see each other at the course.

No big deal.

The more you spread the word about returning discs, the more likely you will get a call someday telling you that they found one of yours.

You are only out a phone call. Call the guy and let him come to you to collect his lost discs.

i like to look at it this way.

if he wanted the disc back that bad he would have found it when he lost it.

and there is no reason ever to lose a disc on dry land.

i always give it a toss before i return it, if it's not one that i already have. next time you return it you should just say "how many discs you got out there man? i'm spending half of my round finding them." no excuse for his laziness, but the fact that you keep returning them will only benefit your karma

I think you did the right thing by calling this guy, but because his behavior continues to inconvenience you, then I don't see a problem with tossing his discs. Once you have a handful, then give him a call. If this dude loses that much plastic, chances are good that you're not the only person holding a disc with his name tatooed on it.

ive found a bunch of discs that has the same name on them.

i think if you have to get people to return your discs for you,
you are lazy.

Give him/her a call or two,if they don't pick it up it's yours. I've done that a few times. If I don't like it I'll keep it and give it away to a newbie.
