We all survived, it wasn't all that cold. The rain was annoying, but not enough to keep us from having a good time.

yeah, it wasn't the cold that was that bad,

it was the damn rain, and being constantly wet that got annoying.

Most of me stayed dry, my very old gloves let my hands get soaked and cold though.

I wasn't too wet myself, but once both my towels soaked through, along with my entire bag, constantly throwing wet discs was a pain.

Yeah, that's part of why I switched to the zephyr at Shorewood, it's way easier to throw when wet because it's got such a deep rim to grip.

I still can't get over the fact that you beat everyone with a zephyr, it was fun to watch,

while on the superclass topic, I have a question

during the third round, I found out if I throw the ultrastar from a virtually vertical hyzer angle, I can get on it with a good amount of force (almost as much as a normal drive) and it will flip to flat, or just slightly over. it didn't have any flutter or signs of oat either.

so the question is, is continuing to do this a bad idea? like is it bad form? or just manipulating a hyzer flip more?

For me, that usually means I'm putting too much arm and not enough spin on the disc. The lack of flutter is a good sign, but you should be able to put a ton of power on it with only like a 45 degree angle without it flipping all the way over if you get a good snap. Try loosening up a lot until the last second, then tightening your hand as much as possible during the last split second of the pull.

hmm, I'll definitely have to try that out, thanks.

So i'm thinking this spring/summer we spark up a wisconsin/michigan camping/road trip so I can experience what they have to offer. Seems like they're two of the best states for DG.

So far on the list I'd go for: Highbridge Hills (6 courses I believe).

Winter park and the Appleton courses in one day.

Michigan- The Farm, Flip City, and BlueGill

you're missing leviathan and the mason county courses in Michigan, they're so close to Flip City,

I don't think I could go up there again and not at least play another round at beauty.

I've played two of their courses, and parts of the other two,

they were all sweet. I wish we had more time up there when we went.

you can use golf carts on a few of the highbridge courses. Thats worth the trip alone:thmbup:

You guys only got rain? Were buried in snow up north a ways:(

That's rough,

the rain sucked, especially cause there was already snow on the ground, wet snow is even more slippery than regular snow.

Showering is optional on disc golf road trips, but there are showers at the honka house and the campgrounds up at highbridge, and you can always find state park campgrounds with showers.

Also, the snow wasn't slippery at all with my new traction thingies.

yeah? Noill and GDBP sure found the tees pretty slippery ;)
