I just ordered some new Neutron!!!:
-Axis 175 , Red
-Axis 176 , White
-Vector 172 , Red
-Vector 174 , Orange

Cant wait to try them out!

Just ordered a White Vector and a Black Axis. I am ****ing stoked to get these bitches, plus I got a Pink Neutron Anode to replace my soft which got eaten by the river in the mail which should get here tommorrow. I am stoked to get my neutron on.

I like the Neutron Axis and they have been fun to throw so far...but holy cow I love the Neutron Vectors. They are faster and longer, something I really appreciate in a Vector. My flat red 173.5g Vector is the best new midrange disc I've tested in years, and may already be my favorite MVP mid. It is really fast, at least as fast as a low profile Buzzz. The glide is also comparable to a Buzzz, so this thing really gets out there. The stability is about halfway between a new Z Buzzz and a new Vector. It really loves to lock onto a line, but fights out at the end much better than a Buzzz, making it more versatile when thrown with anny. It is going to be taking a lot of shots away from my beat FR Vector, but that is not a bad thing...As long as I can procure a stack of these babies.

Would you say it can still fit in the bag well enough with a Buzzz?

I'd want a Vector that was a little more overstable than my red one to pair with a Buzzz to avoid overlap.

Hmmm, interesting. I'll give my new Vector a shot, but I recently reinvested in Buzzzes. Good thing there is always the Marketplace...

Going to give my thoughts on the plastic in general, then breaking my review down disc by disc.

Overall, I love these things. The plastic feels really great in these mid molds. They glide like no other, and I'm hoping they'll gain more as the age. Very grippy, as we already knew from the N Anodes and Ions.

Pink 178 Axis: Has a moderate dome to it, and it mimics a domey P Axis. VERY HSS, and fairly LSS. Zero turn at all when throw with a hyzer, or flat, but will still hold an anny pretty well. It will fight out of it's a really shallow anny, or if thrown high enough. Didn't have more than 2mph of wind today to test in a head wind, but I'm pretty confident that it'll do just fine.

Blue 175 Axis: Pretty damn flat. My favorite of my two Axes that I got. Has just a touch of turn to it, and glides for days. It'll hold any anny I put on it, no matter how shallow it may be. Very very minimal fade with this one. I'm talking maybe 20" when thrown with good speed and snap. I don't feel that these Axes are faster in N plastic than P, but they definitely glide more.

Both Vectors were practically the same at 175g and super flat. These things, unlike the Axes, seemed a lot faster than their Proton brethren. The Vectors were also very HSS, any hyzer and they're holding it and fading hard at the end. When thrown flat these things glide for a while then a pretty predominant fade kicks in. I really wish I had some wind these last couple days to test them in.

All in all, these guys are kicking all of the my mids but one, which is my flippy Axis.

Man.... I had just put the buzzzes back in the bag. I was rocking the Axis/Vector combo but that left a slight gap where my buzzzes currently reside. Now though... I may have to throw these N Axis and Vectors... more money I didn't have.

How big a difference in grip versus neutron? I ask because I recently got a max weight first run axis and didn't like how slick it was so I traded it. I could not get the distance out of it I get from my max weight KC pro and DX Rocs because it felt like I couldn't get a secure enough grip. Honestly I've always struggled with the feel of premium plastic midranges but am again intrigued by MVP. I wonder if a lighter proton Axis or Vector would give me what I'm looking for in distance if the grip is nice. For reference I can get Rocs out around 280'.

I use power grip and to me grip is nice with MVP mids (Protons, Neutrons are on way :) even with damp ones (i.e. wet grass and I did not carry towel with me). However with fan grip, I would want dry ones to throw. I have not throw Rocs in long time but I believe you can throw MVP mids bit further than Roc, esp Axis. Testers here commented about flat Neutron Vector being faster/glider so it would be good one to have.

I'm uncertain as to why, but all my early stiffer proton(FR Vector, FR Axis, first clear Ions) discs are slicker than new proton, and much slicker than Neutron. Maybe it's because they are a little stiffer? I'm not sure, but I think you would like Neutron, especially compared to that early proton. Quite honestly, get a lighter red neutron Vector...If it doesn't work for you I will buy it or trade you something for it.

Just purchased my first MVP disc ever! Neutron Anode, orange, 173g. Should get here in the next few days. Can't wait to try it out and see how it flys! Oh, and from all the great reviews I've been seeing on here, I thought I would pre-order a Volt while I was at it too :D

Sweet, now I know who to go to if I don't like mine. :)

Got a 171 Red Vector and a 174 White Axis headed my way. Here's hoping the weather clears up before they get here. I may be just a little excited.

Some brief thoughts...

N Axis - The moderate dome gives these a true 0 for high speed stability. Like discspeed noticed, I saw increased glide with no increased rate of turning over. Thrown with the tiniest bit of hyzer they will hold it the entire flight regardless of power. They hold a very beautiful anhyzer and hang in the air an impressive amount of time. Some straightish mids tend to want to drop out of the air a bit quick when thrown anny in my experience but the Axis doesn't. On a max power rip they flew straight 90% or so of the flight then gently faded as they slowed down. Ripped em in the 375-400' range consistently in mild winds with no accidental turnovers, and like I stated earlier if I threw them that hard with a bit of hyzer, they held it.

N Vector. The 173 N Vector, which is domier than the 173 P eclipse Vector I had bagged, exhibits similar glide but fades sooner. The heavier N Vector (176 sticker weight) is a touch beefier but the difference isn't huge. Both fade earlier and further laterally the the pancake flat P Vectors I've been throwing lately. The neat thing is though they have such good hang time that despite their overstable flight path they still get good D. When I was trying max d golf line throws with them and the Axis I'd toss the latter with a pinch of hyzer and the Vectors flat, and while the Vectors started fading earlier around 75-80% of their flight there was only 5' or so distance difference. These have a flight line similar to domier first run Vectors but with superior glide.

I was mostly driving with them but I threw about 20 fh approach shots with them and they're great. Vectors will hold the hyzer angle the entire way and the Axis would flatten out a bit from a hyzer flick and glide straighter for longer, then come back gently at the end.

All things considered I am quite impressed with MVP's ability to make a great disc even better. Both discs fly exactly how I want the respective molds to fly, have superb grip and are very easy to spot with their bright colors.

Anybody had any Neutron long enough to tell its wear-in rate, particularly compared to the Proton?

They've only been out for a little more than a month, I'm going to assume that there hasn't been enough time. Especially that it's only been putters so far. Give it a couple months with the mids and we'll have a better feeling for how they break in.
