Slightly annoyed with Marshall Street right now

quit yer whining girls

try being in Canuckistan and waiting for discs
usually around 3 weeks if you go by USPS to leave shipping at least somewhat reasonable

I can tell you 100% ups does NOT stop by everyday for pick-ups on business accounts. UPS only picks up stuff for us if we schedule it or they are coming for a delivery(which is almost daily half the year). This has bit me in the ass big time before. I had a warranty return that sat for 2 weeks before I saw it and called for a pick-up(during our off peak season).

Do u have to choose UPS when placing a large order like that? Otherwise, USPS is cheaper and usu better.

Eitherway if the driver doesn't come everyday, call them to have it picked up. It's not like the train that comes into town every week back in the 1800's.

It's not our fault the moose-drawn sled travels so slow dude. :p

I agree with the title of this thread, but only because they received a nice selection of C-Discmania as well still having a couple Lat64s I've had my eye on... and now they have all my money.

Move to the United States of American, then no one needs to whine.

Didn't someone else post a thread complaining about Marshal Street? Sounds like they make mistakes more often than we know.

You guys bitch about everything. I'm beginning to think you are all a bunch of old naggy woman over here. I am sorry your discs didn't get shipped right away,a price is $10 more in the store than it was online even though it was a great price anyway, your bag has some wear to it, a company accidentally had a disc in stock on their website that they didn't actually have, etc. Who cares. **** happens and it is all minor **** you guys whine about. Everyone has been unhappy with a purchase at some point in their life, no need to let us all here about your transaction that still worked out fine just a few days slower than you hoped.

Who looks like the bigger jackass, them bitching about a store, or YOU bitching about them bitching about a store?

Started buying for Marshall Street recently, love'em, never had a problem.

If you are in a time-crunch and in need of discs, why did you order them online? I am a little spoiled, GGGT is 15 minutes down the road from me. BUt there are a ton of other places to get discs. Yes, it costs more to choose your own weights, own colors, and to walk out of the store with the disc.

You get a discount for being patient and doing the transaction at the companies pace, therefore you are kinda at their mercy when it comes to getting your plastic. Want it today? Go pick it up and complain about the inflated price instead

Should I be happy they waited 5 whole days to put 10 discs in a box and ship them out? No.

I'm trying not to bitch cause I still love Marshall Street but this is a disc golf website. This is where we come to review everything disc golf. That includes places where we buy them. I want people to know what happened to me so they can use that information when they decide where to order their discs.

Its funny because if Im in a hurry, I usually got to Marshall Street or GGGT because they tend to ship out quicker than DGC; which I use when I just dont want to pay for shipping.

Never have ordered that many discs at once though in a hurry. Not sure how helpful it is to have 10 brand new discs over ones you have been using for tournament play. I assume thats why you wanted the practice.

Someone needs to set up a site Disc Golf Online and Brick and Mortar Store Review! WHat up DGOBMSR'rs????

I drive for UPS and we don't make stops at every client, just to see if they have something to ship. Clients call us when they want us to pick up packages. Marshall Street was giving you the straight dope when they said they didn't have anything to ship out, and UPS didn't stop by.

I completely agree...

but it is the truth and something we've bitched and bitched about to UPS...

We have a DAILY pickup. And they don't come everyday. :wall:

It stinks because they are soooo much cheaper for shipping heavy packages to far away places... and I know you know that we all know that paying shipping sucks.

Do we mess up on occasion? Of course.
But so doesn't everybody. We just try to take measures to make sure the same thing doesn't happen again down the road... that is when things get bad. Perhaps we need re-evaluate our dealings with UPS.

We all know things like this happen, it's just that it super sucks when it happens to you...
